Bowie being thought provoking.

Keep quiet about the Heavy Metal snail...

Heh! His hand position. The joke is 3 6's. 666, the number of the beast. It's where Christians think we're devil worshippers so we joke back at them. Most of us are godless pagan types IYSWIM. No devil involved. So not even using Christian language. I don't believe in God or The Devil, many don't, but we avoid Christians for a reason.

The nagging, and the massive over-assumptions about us by people who know nothing about it and just see black clothing. Which should make us Muslim if you want to be that specific about it... Same as the Sikh's don't speak Christian either. But being nagged to hell for liking 'devil music' does generate counter-humour to deal with the nagging. Takes the edge off of it so we can get back to our lives. In plain english it's bloody irritating to be harassed over, what adds up to, nothing. I know Gerry Lee Lewis was the devil ( The Vatican went after him or something ), but even so... ;)

I have no idea what he is on about in the above image obviously, but that one looked interesting. He's trying to provoke thought again I'd say... Bowie does that. I've been to enough metal clubs to know that it's a small crowd inside said metal scene that ruin it for people like me. Not the whole scene. Same as The Angels are just part of the biker scene IYSWIM. Yoof likes to boogie innit.

For the snail his thumb is the mouth bit, and the 2 fingers are the antenna. Metal can be slow, but still fun. Like slugs and snails, puppy-dogs tails, and little boys and their obsession with the snail in the garden. The French are barbarians *nods*. But yeah, just part of the humour of what was a very fun scene until things went bad for me.

Boy stuff innit ;)

moyder!, our crazy european friends, clobber, fun!, you're taking the piss right?, it's a man thing ;), cooking, la musique pop
