Waking up next to Kazu-chan was where Jin always wanted to be. It was wrong but he loved it. He loved the feel of Kazu-chan’s skin next to him. Weird isn’t it? He had avoided Kazuya knowing that he’d fall for him but his avoiding led him even closer to Kazuya.
Kazuya opened his eyes slowly and saw Jin’s face next to his. His eyes were closed but he could imagine looking deep into them. He loved Jin’s nose; Jin’s eyes; Jin’s lips; Jin’s hands and everything about Jin but most of all Kazuya loved Jin.
NO! I can’t be falling in love with Jin! I’m a boy! He’s a boy! I can’t! Muri muri muri!
As he recalled what happened the night before he had felt embarrassed. They were friends but friends didn’t touch each other like that! Friends shouldn’t like the feeling of other’s hands on their privates…right?!
Kazuya slowly pulled himself away from Jin. He didn’t want to be there when Jin woke up. He didn’t want Jin to see him like that. It was embarrassing enough that they had touched each other but if Jin found out that Kazuya was starting to love him it would be bad.
He went out of the room and went straight to his house. The door was still locked but Kazuya easily climbed the tree in front of his room and entered his room.
He lied down on the bed and frowned. He couldn’t fall in love with Jin. He shouldn’t!
As he walked down the dining area, he saw the red blinking light from the telephone. His parents probably left him a message.
He pressed the read button and the machine said, “You have 1 new message.”
He clicked the read button again and his mom’s voice was heard, “Kazuya, you’re dad and I have gone to obaa-chan’s funeral. We didn’t want you to go because you’d just be sadder. You can stay with your auntie in Shibuya for a while. We’ve arranged for her to pick you up at 3pm. We love you!”
A long beep was heard after the message. Kazuya stared at the phone and his heart clenched at the thought, a week without seeing Jin? He knew that he should avoid Jin but that was really too much. A week was too long but maybe it was just enough to sort out his feelings.
He immediately went upstairs and started packing his things. He took only simple things which would be essential to his stay.
Checking his phone, Kazuya saw that he had a message. He opened it and it said,
To: Kazu-chan
From: Jin
What’s wrong? Why did you leave? Did something go wrong? Call me when you can. I’ll be waiting. ~
If Jin found out about his feelings, Jin wouldn’t wait for his call. If Jin knew about how he felt he would be repulsed. He might even hate Kazuya.
He took a box of cereal and a glass of milk and started eating his breakfast but he couldn’t eat much. He felt weird. Jin was invading his thoughts in a way that he can’t even think other things without thinking about Jin.
“This is bad,” whispered Kazuya.
He quickly cleaned after himself and pulled out his phone to give is auntie a call.
“Moshi moshi, auntie? Can you please pick me up a bit earlier?”
His aunt had agreed to pick him up earlier but there was a small part of his thoughts that wouldn’t want him to leave.
Sighing, Kazuya grabbed his bag and went out the door to wait for his aunt to arrive. He sat by the porch which was a big mistake because seconds later he saw Jin quickly approaching him.
Yabbeee!
Jin woke up alone in bed and he found it very unpleasant. He could understand why Kazuya had left but why had he not replied to his message?
He even tried calling the boy but he wouldn’t pick up the phone. It was obvious that Kazuya was avoiding him. The only question was why.
Wanting to know the answer, he walked up to the Kamenashi residence but what he saw shocked him. Kazuya was there but so were his bags. It was obvious that the boy was going away.
Jin felt really rejected at that time. Why was Kazuya leaving? Was there some kind of problem that Kazuya didn’t tell him last night?
As he got nearer Kazuya his heart beat sped up even more. “Kazu-chan, I woke up alone this morning.”
Kazuya stood up and looked at Jin. He decided to talk to Jin because even though that thing did happen between them, they were still friends right?
“Gomenasai, I wanted to go home.”
Jin nodded and accepted Kazuya’s answer but he still wanted to know one thing. “Where are you going Kazuya? Did something happen?”
The boy started to tremble and Jin saw that. It was probably because of him right? Did he move to fast? Maybe taking it to the next step was really not the right thing to do.
Sighing, Jin asked again. “Kazu-chan, why are you leaving?”
Kazuya bit his lower lip and answered, “I’m staying with my aunt and uncle for a while. My parents are not home and they told my auntie to come and get me.”
Jin immediately felt lonely. Something in his heart wanted to tell Kazuya to stay but he didn’t want to scare the boy again so instead of speaking he opened his arms and went over to hug Kazuya but a car beep interrupted them.
Kazuya stepped aside and got his bags. Jin wanted to help him but his body wouldn’t move and so he watched Kazuya get in the car and drive away.
The first few seconds were the hardest. Without a doubt, Jin had fallen for Kazuya. The boy didn’t even do anything to make him fall but something was pulling Jin to Kazuya.
Another sigh left his lips as he calmed himself down and went home. He got in bed and refused to go out.
Kazuya reached Shibuya within a few hours. He was looking out the window the whole ride. He started to wonder whether leaving was really the right thing to do.
As soon as he got out of the car, a small pair of arms wrapped around him. “Kazu-nii! I missed you!” shouted the cute little girl.
He took the girl’s hand and walked inside the house with her. “Gomen ne, Rie-chan.”
The little girl nodded her head and smiled at the boy. “Will you stay and play with Rie-chan?”
Smiling, Kazuya nodded. He had missed this place. He used to spend a lot of time in Shibuya when he was a kid but he couldn’t anymore because of school. He loved it here. He loved aunt Reika and Rie-chan.
He took his bags and placed him at the room where he used to stay only now he had to share it with Rie-chan. He didn’t mind at all though because Rie was the cutest little girl for him. He loved playing with her because she always smiles.
He decided to go to the park to get some fresh air. At first, he wanted to go alone but Rie-chan insisted on going with him.
They went to the park and saw the swings. Rie-chan started jumping up and down. Kazuya smiled at Rie-chan’s reaction and took her to the swings. He sat her down and started pushing it forward and backward.
Rie-chan really loved swings. She loved sitting down on one and feeling the breeze as she swung up and down.
Kazuya smiled at the small cute giggles that the little girl was giving. He loved the feel of the wind on his skin. He slowly stopped the swing and sat down on the swing beside Rie-chan.
“Kazu-nii, did something happen? Why are you sad?” asked little Rie.
“It was nothing Rie-chan. Do you want to go get ice cream?”
Rie’s face brightened when he mentioned ice cream and he just laughed again. He went to the nearby shop and bought two ice creams, one for him and one for Rie-chan.
Kazuya looked at Rie’s smiling face and smiled, wondering what Jin was up to.
Jin never left his room that day. He was just lying down on the bed or lying face up. His thoughts were deep. Why did Kazuya leave? Did he do something wrong? He knew that moving too fast too soon was really wrong but he didn’t hurt him right?
Finally he stood up; he didn’t want to be shaken by this guy who he just met. He was Akanishi Jin and he won’t get affected by some kid who he just met.
Leaving the room, he grabbed his phone and dialed his bestfriends’s number.
“Yamapi, could you meet me at the usual?”
Yamapi agreed. Jin changed his clothes and went to meet his friend at the usual bar. True, Jin was still under aged but he didn’t drink much.
He made his way over to the private room Yamapi got for them and sat down drowning a bottle of beer. He felt like drinking tonight, probably drowning his sorrows.
Everything happened too fast. It was merely a few days but he felt like he’d known Kazuya for more than a year now and it really bugged him.
Yamapi stared at his best friend as he drowned another beer. What had happened to Jin to make him drink this much?
“Jin, what’s wrong?” asked Yamapi.
Jin shook his head and got another beer. Yamapi was starting to get alarmed so he got the bottle of beer from Jin’s hand but Jin just got another one.
“What the hell happened, Jin?” asked Yamapi.
Sighing, Jin told Yamapi what happened. He told him everything from the beginning and how weird it was that his feelings had suddenly developed that fast.
Yamapi laughed at Jin’s silliness. It was but a few times when he would see Jin, heck it was only once when he saw Jin like this.
“Jin, you do have to understand that Kazuya really needs time right? You gave him a fucking handjob even if you just met him!”
Jin really did try to remain calm but Yamapi was right. He had to give it time. It was happening all too fast. Maybe he just needs this time alone as much as Kazuya.
Night quickly came; Kazuya and Rie were heading home. Rie was holding Kazuya’s hand and was skipping happily.
Kazuya on the other hand was another thing. He was smiling but he couldn’t get his mind of Jin. For some reason, he wanted to see him.
Kazuya! Get a hold of yourself! You have to control your emotions before you hurt anyone else! You know that you and Jin can’t be together! You are FRIENDS, just friends.
“Kazuya nii-chan, I’m tired.” Rie rubbed her eyes but Kazuya was too deep in thought to notice it.
Rie pulled on Kazuya’s arm to get his attention. Kazuya smiled at her and picked her up, carrying her. As soon as they got home, Kazuya laid the sleeping girl on the futon in their room and lied down on the other futon.
Kazuya kept tossing around, unable to sleep because of Jin. He couldn’t stop thinking about what had happened. Why did Jin touch him like that? Did it mean something or was it just because of the heat at the moment?
Whatever the reason maybe Kazuya didn’t want to know, he just wanted to rest and sleep peacefully. He slowly hummed a tune in his head and willed his body to sleep.
