Right, given that you were all too tiny to notice this shit, I guess I better report some stuff that went off, 'cause a couple of inmates dealt with it, with my permission. Here's what happened by me.
- I told the kids to tell me if anyone did any bad shit. I told the inmates to make sure they didn't do any bad shit, or they'd have me to answer to.
- Commander (right?) Rhade comes to me and says he's worried about Una, 'cause she's with O'Brien. I get why he's concerned, so tell him to talk to her and keep an eye out for shit. I did the same as much as I could, but I'm kind of crazy busy, so leave it to him mostly.
- Una comes to me and him and reports that he's been threatening her, and shows me some of a conversation where he basically tells her he's... Well, neglecting her, I guess.
- I wasn't takin' any chances, so told Una to come stay with me. She was worried about other kids, so I talked to Rhade and a coupla' others.
- Rhade and I think Braxiatel (right?) ended up talking to Svetlana, and told me that O'Brien seemed to be lookin' after her. I was vaguely aware they'd got some history, so I... Again, wasn't taking any chances.
- Rhade said he'd go see if he could get her out of there, and talk to 'em both.
- He comes back to me and says he's convinced she's been brainwashed by him, but he was sure he and another inmate could get her out of there. He also said he thought O'Brien had convinced some other kids to tell on each other to him? I'm not exactly sure what that's about.
- I gave them both permission to take him to zero, and my item to do so. I offered 'em my gun too. I also checked who the other inmate was, and confident it was someone trustworthy - Agent Cooper - I decided to let 'em get on with it themselves. I've got about six reasons for doing that, and not doing it myself, which I'll give if you ask. I told 'em to use force if they had to, but not to beat his head in or kill him.
- Agent Cooper did exactly as I asked, my item was returned, and O'Brien's now sat in zero. I guess someone should check Cooper didn't hurt him or somethin'. I mean. If you want. Rhade had organised for Mal to be there to look after Sveta, and I believe that's where she stayed until the end of the flood.
I included the inmates who helped out (Rhade, Braxiatel, Cooper and Mal) on this filter, as they did most the work, and deserve all the damn credit. I just gave them permission and my item to do it with. And I don't regret a fucking decision I made, as there were kids involved and I wasn't taking a single damn risk. If it all turns out to be some big damn lie or somethin', then I'm sorry, but I'd rather be an idiot than it be true and ignore it, yeah?
So yeah. Una. It's all yours now. And I'd watch it, because, trust me, on prison food chains, anyone who's screwed around with kids is at the very. fucking. bottom.
