I started eating lunch at 11 & now it's 1:30pm!

Actually... now it's 11:56pm.

Ikea was pretty craptastic on Thursday night aside from Tony giving me a big hug after he'd had a horror day & then Daz taught me how to do Replen. Every day, we are given a list of products (pallets) etc from either Fullserve (back of the warehouse) or Kewdale (Ikea warehouse where things go from the Freo dock to us), we then have to walk around the entire Selfserve warehouse, guess how many of each product can fit in each space & then tick yes, no or write down where else it can fit (Activity A,B,C,D etc) It takes about 2hrs if you do it by yourself; Daz followed me around while I did it but it's really pretty easy! I'm really glad he taught me because it helps in knowing where things are & then later I was able to tell customers that a particular product will be in the next day & stuff like that. The rest of the night was not so fun but Cam & I managed to pop out for a softserve icecream during our 15min break. Apparently Sue has also hired 3 more guys' for our team which should be good.

Daz - who is our safety inspector in the Warehouse put a request in for Back Braces. They are basically a black thick belt that goes around your waist/stomach with velcro straps. It's supposed to support your back when you do heavy lifting. I BEG TO DIFFER. When I was at the Opera House, we had these - after an hour your back hurts worse than if you didn't have it on, it doesn't allow you to bend straight at the knees & basically they are crap! They are more for people who don't stand up straight in the first place, because they force you to bend forward even when you are standing upright. I HATE them. I stand up ramrod straight anyway (14yrs of being whacked with a cane during ballet class) so I had a big argument about having to wear them. I had such a sore back on Thursday night.. not happy!

Friday was even less fun! but we were busy all day & I didn't have time for either of my 15min breaks. After scoffing down lunch, I caught up with Gaz while he had a smoke break & told him my view on our new Supervisors & stuff. G & I went to Australia's Finest Burgers (3rd time!) for dinner; I had the satay chicken burger AGAIN, I really should try something different next time.

I had the ENTIRE weekend off! I went to Mimco & bought a necklace & headband; off to Midland where I bought lots more Christmas/Birthday presents. G bought Civilization IV & I bought 'de blob' for WII! Saturday night we were both playing our new games - de blob is awesome!!

Woke up with a game hangover on Sunday but we went out for yummy Ramen noodles!! Asijan Ramen in town is fantastic; I had the Hong Kong Ramen & it was delicious :) It also came with a deep-fried prawn, spring roll, salad & fruit! Only $12! It was a huge serving too, I couldn't finish it. Went to Borders, bought some more Christmas presents, came home & collapsed.

Went to Empire Toys as well to buy presents' - there are so many Region 1 DVDs I wanted to buy! They also had Ice Hockey figurines!! I nearly bought Gretzky but he had a gay look on his face.

Our work (shop) computer shat itself on Friday so we're currently using my Macbook. Luckily, we're getting a new one built today & it will be ready for pickup tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow night, G & I will be loading all of our programmes back onto it (argh) so it's ready for Wednesday. All of our artwork, fonts etc are on the old computer so we can't print any of our wedding jobs or anything! We've got 6 weddings due this Saturday (doubleargh)

We got new lights put in (50watt) & it's SO bright in here! I need my sunglasses, seriously... it looks like we're sitting on the Sun. It's brighter in here than it is outside!!

I bought 4 more books on the weekend; all Biographies. I'm a bit Biography-mad at the moment; I'm still reading 'Houdini' & I've got to finish 'Spike Milligan'. There are now 62 books on my TO-READ shelf. I have also run out of room on my 2 bookshelves... G is not impressed that I've started stacking them on the floor. Neither am I to be honest, but I've got nowhere else to put them!

Finished watching Peter Kay Live DVDs, still watching NCIS: Season 4.

Today was so busy... the Boss left & I was run off my feet for the rest of the day!

I'm shattered & it's only the first day of the week!

ikea, shopping, wii, christmas, australia's finest burgers, work, ramen, books
