Woo!
Today has been great! Except that I can't taste anything because of my cold.
I got into town early & sat reading in Borders until Lahra arrived. We went next door to try on the dress I had seen, but we both noticed a different one - she tried it on & we both loved it! We went to a shoe store down the mall just to see if they had anything... they had a pair of shoes that looked like they had been cut out of the same fabric - they were perfect too & they were the last pair in her size & 50% off!
Holy crap - I still can't believe how easy that was haha
I haven't really looked for my shoes, but I have a pair which I could wear anyway... it's not like you are going to see much of my feet under the dress.
Lahra went to have coffee with her partner & I went down to the DJ food hall & had chicken pad thai (YUM)
I've decided that since I won't have much money for the rest of the year, that I would try & get everyone's Birthday & Christmas presents for the next 10months. I bought a couple of cute tops for little cousins' birthdays which were on sale in Myer & I bought a Suckao (hot chocolate thing) for Kellie's birthday.
I also found mum's favourite shampoo & conditioner which has been dis-continued but only 5 bottles of each left were on sale so I brought 2 up to the counter & the saleslady told me they were all $5 each instead! So I bought all of them!
There's a bit going on this year:
* My parents' 35th Wedding Anniversary
* Lahra getting married in Las Vegas
* Lahra buying a house
* G & I getting married
* 2 more kids' on the way for people in our families
* My 30th birthday
So many presents! I love buying people presents. I should be a personal shopper haha
Going to Karrinyup tonight to buy more presents' while the sales are on & then to my parents' to drop off the shampoo & some food for them.
My cousin Mary, husband Steve & little girls' Emma, Lucy & Holly are arriving tomorrow from QLD for a
2-week holiday! YAY! We haven't seen them since 2003 so it will be fantastic to see them.
Last good thing for today - G is bringing home potato & rosemary pizza and garlic bread from Rifo's for dinner! YAY!
