I've really been neglecting my LiveJournal! It's time for an update.
Lately I've just been enjoying my winter break. Christmas and my birthday flew by without me even half realizing it. Christmas Eve was nice with just my grandmother and uncle over here. So many people were given iPods it was ridiculous! And the dinner conversation was the best. Uncle Richie was telling us all about his days up at Laconia or the Harley Rendezvous, and it was all completely hilarious. That was probably my favorite Christmas eve ever.
Christmas day with my dad's family was the same as it's been every 16 times i've gone.
Friends made my birthday really special. Jason, Shelby, Rosemarie, and Emily snuck into my house around 1:30 in the morning, blew up a gazillion balloons and threw them in my bedroom, and didn't leave until around three! Emily was too lazy to leave and just slept in my basement. It was funny finding her there in the morning. That day was awesomely relaxing. Rosemarie, Em and I went in the hottub and caught up on whatever we had to catch up on. Daisey came over and cooked us lunch! guac, yummy!!! hmmm... okay so then i had a really yummy ice cream cake. eventually more people came by and the basement was full. the best parts of that night were: whooping jason's ass in checkers, setting kevin's car alarm off, trying to break into my old elementary school, and someone unintentionally dumping a full cup of tea all over his leg. Then around 11 or 12, people left and i crashed somewhere in the house. It was a pretty exhausting day.
My memory has been getting worse lately. You know when you have something to do, and you go downstairs to do it.. but then you forget what your intentions were? Yeah of course, that happens to everybody. But it's been happening to me at least four or five times a day. I can't remember anything else from this vacation except that today it snowed and i decided i should try driving in the snow and so i got lost in Saugus but eventually found Target and bought an electric tea maker which is now sitting in my bedroom.
These last few days I've gotta work. If you haven't noticed, i've been missing a lot of school. I'm really behind. I don't even know if i'll be able to do it all in time for Tuesday.
A couple of weekends ago I took a Greyhound to New York City with my dad. We saw the rockettes in Radio City Music Hall. That's something everybody's gotta do once, it's nice around Christmastime. Anyway, the next day we flew out of JFK and went down to Miami. It's way more spanish-speaking than I would have imagined. At least three quarters of the radio stations are broadcast in Spanish. It's actually kind of hard to find people who speak English... anyways so that was good because I got to practice my terrible Spanish. I got a henna tattoo and convinced my mom it was real when i got back. Also i left my brand new camera in the rental car and whoever cleaned it out stole it. That was a bummer, but i've since ordered another one. It'll come in sometime next week. So that was a nice little trip.
Anyway, I hope everyone's holiday was peachy. Enjoy the rest of the break.
