One of the tasks on my list of "I know this shouldn't be a big deal, but ack and woe and I don't wanna, let's put it off six months or so" things is re-caulking the bathtub. I'm not sure why it's such a big deal, but there you are. Anyway, mine had gotten so disreputable that I could see how bad it was without my glasses on in the shower. This is pretty bad; I'm pretty blind without my specs.

So today, I finally did it! No more pink and grey caulk around the tub!! (I mean, eeeew; my plumber swears that stuff isn't mildew, it's soap and conditioner residue sunk into the silicon, but I'm not sure I believe him.) And yes, once again, it really didn't take that long.

Nonetheless, because it is such a despised chore, I have done nothing else useful all day--played online Samorost-style flash adventure games (from this blog here), and read (mostly re-read--such good writing in that fandom) GenKill stories, and watched TV, in between steps of the caulking project. After sleeping in very, very late (those late night Criminal Minds reruns are hell on my sleep habits).

And yet I still feel EXTREMELY productive.

:D Advantage of living alone--there's no-one here to disabuse me of the notion that I was very productive today. Disadvantage--there's no-one I can try to get to do the caulking for me.
