Wow, it seems like half my friends list is having a really, really horrible week. *sends good thoughts and hot tea and warm cookies and stuff* I hope things get better for you all very soon.I've been helping with the transcription project over at the Generation Kill comm and I've watched Cradle of Civilization so many times now (especially the first fifteen minutes, which was my assigned section) I'm seeing it in my sleep. : D Good thing I love the show.
What's really funny is that I haven't watched the rest of the eps yet since I just got the DVDs. Planning on watching episode 3 tonight.Semi-related--there's a song I've loved for decades now, written and recorded by friends from Portland (Doris Daze was the band name--they've since broken up), and somehow it's gone all GenKill on me, the lyrics and feel. I don't have their original version online, but the cover I did is here, if you want: Vision (right-click/save, as usual). It's just... disconcerting, having a song I've loved so long develop a new layer.
