Lump
I have a lump on my arm. It's been there a while and failed to go away so I decided to get it checked out.
That involved getting up in time to be at the doctors for 8.30 to queue for an appointment but, y'know, it's my day off and all and I deserve a lie in don't I? So, when I woke up this morning I decided to stay in bed until 8.30 and take my chances ringing for an appointment.
I rang up constantly between 8.30 and 9. Usually I got the busy dial tone but sometimes it rang. And rang. And rang. Until eventually a voice said, "Sorry but this number cannot take your call at the moment, please try again later.
After 9 I gave up, but I did try again later in the day in the hope of securing a doctor's appointment for next Weds or evening the following weds but I still couldn't get through. It looks like I'm really gonna have to get up early next wednesday. If I do have some sort of tumour I don't want to die of laziness...
