Things just keep happening over and over again in my life... like a bad sequel no one wants to watch.
In mid September last year, I got a rash that spread to both legs. My previous doctor believed it to be a form of staph. I was given a cream and two weeks later, it went away. Would you believe a year and a month later, the rash came back?! Now that I am finally covered by Anthem once more, I went to my new doctor and got my legs AND my stomach checked.
After a test it was surmised I have a fungus on my legs. Apparently its pretty common, especially for people who work overnights... thanks Drawbridge! I am taking ketoconazole and rubbing polysporin over said areas. Ohhhh - I've wanted to itch... ohhhh - I've wanted to scratch, but I've been a good boy. So far the medicine hasn't been working as fast as I'd like it to. Hope it works soon, because its going to places you don't want a fungus to go - 'nuff said. :-P
As for the stomach, all will soon be revealed. I have a CT scan planned for later in the week... how long has this taken?
job trekking...
As you unfortunately know, since August I was put back onto third shifts. After bargaining went literally nowhere, I did what anyone else would do and began searching for another job. Its been an uphill battle of a different sort, especially with my current life schedule - but I am trying. With this economy, I am very lucky just to have a job, but its obvious Drawbridge holds nothing for me and I really need to move onward, if not upward.
I'm going at this from all angles - using the internet, going through the paper, calling around, and on foot to places closer to home. I've had a few interviews, and learned the hard way not to go to one where the person will only describe the job as a "great business opportunity" ever again.
A few of the places applied so far... Marriott - Blue Ash, Belvedere Hotels, Blockbuster, customer service representatives (various), Labor Ready, graphics production company - Downtown, Halloween U.S.A., Regal Cinemas, Showcase Cinemas, silkscreen studio - Batavia, Piland Consulting, Hilton Netherland Plaza, Great Escape Theatres, Build-A-Bear Workshop, AMC Theatres, Public Library Graphic Artist - Downtown, Crate & Barrel, medical office assistant (various), Hyatt Place - Blue Ash, Convergys, mailroom clerk (various), AAA, Sheraton Cincinnati North, Rev Staffing, Servatti's Pastries, Marriott - Clifton, Quick Staff, Westin - Downtown, Avon, H. Dennert Distributing, United Health Care, Cintas, Crown Services, Best Western - Clermont, Olan Mills Studios, Doubletree Suites - Springdale, Fifth Third Bank, McLane Foodsystems, Vector Marketing... more to come.
There are a few more places I want to check out, but if nothing comes to fruition soon - I am seriously considering moving, possibly getting a temp job for the interim. I am truly blessed to have a few wonderful friends who have offered the opportunity to take me in and start anew, just got to make sure its right.
