Dear Loved ones
Today i was finally given a task worth my full effort and concentration. All the things i've been given so far have been painfully simple and meaningless. Today i was asked to draft a marketing plan for the company. As the instructions given were vague and brief, i was free to propose anything i wished. A chance for Christopher of Singapore to show his quality. I dunno why but i suddenly got very motivated. Prior to being briefed on my task, i was just reading a book and dozing of every few pages. I'm glad work turned out to be all i hoped for. As for what i do outside work, it has been very exciting. I've been getting out there and seeing new things and places. I sort of know where to go and what to do from my last visit to HCMC with my Aunty Cheng. Thanks to her, Uncle Chew and Uncle Quek (his maps have proven exceedingly handy), I read more, know more, have more and am more.
Thats why family and good friends are so important, and although i can't fully replace their absence, the friends i'm here with have done a good job filling that void. Everyday we get that much closer. I still don't know alot about them yet, what they think, how they think, what sets them off, what turns them on, what gets them down and what lifts them up. All i know is that I want the best for them here in Vietnam. To see the best sights, to try the best food and to get the best deals. I'm sure they want the same thing for me too. I think................... Haha. no expectations lah. i take what comes and accept what goes. I dunno what will happen in the coming weeks, but i'm sure it can only be good cause we're doing it together.
