Hoping to pick up my road/tt bike tomorrow. My son-in-law has had it for the last 6 or 7 years. He borrowed it to do a triathlon and kept it. Not that I was of mind or body to hit the roads at the time. But now I'm excited and can't wait to start logging some miles.
It's a GIANT TCR Aero 1 time trial / triathlon bike. Typically for 20-25 miles or less rides which fits me just fine for what I want to do. Any real distances above that and I'll liable to turn into one of thse super skinny boys and that just won't due.
I also want to pick up a mid-level mountain bike if anyone has any recommendations. There are a lot of public trails near by that I would like to start riding.

From a fitness perspective I think I am doing pretty good. It has actually been a struggle to stay above 180 until recently when I started adding additional protein and complex carbohydrates to my diet. I still log every food and beverage I consume as I really don't want to return to my old ways. Being healthy of body builds a strong mind and provides great clarity, Being on the bike will require even more diligence. It's not that I mind being below 180 but at 6'1" I think that as long as I am maintaining lean body mass I'll be ok.

Kind of want to get another tattoo. But the bitch of that is that I can't donate blood/platelets to the Red Cross for something like 6 months or more if I do. Am I being selfish by wanting to get more ink?
