(no subject)
Told my parents about the Mustang this weekend. They're cool with it. Looking into selling the Honda now.
I haven't checked livejournal since Friday, so I don't know if my fellow south Floridians have posted about it yet... but I think Clear Channel is making a huge mistake. On my way to the orthodontist Friday, I tried putting Zeta on. What I got was some woman talking and saying I was listening to 940 AM. Strange, I thought. Later that night, I tried tuning in again and heard some strange spanish music that I still don't know how to describe with words. At this point, I started wondering if Zeta moved to a new frequency. I meant to check the website, but forgot to do so. The next day, my dad told me about the article on the front page of the local section in the Sun Sentinel. Basically, Clear Channel decided to turn Zeta into an "hurban" station, which is "hispanic urban". Demographics, more advertisers, bla bla bla. Apparently, this all happened with no warning whatsoever. I wonder if the DJs even knew Thursday would be their last day. Clear Channel has 15 stations in the south Florida area. None played spanish music, so they felt they were missing out. I'm still trying to figure out why they chose to replace Zeta. This leaves Miami-Dade and most of Broward county without a real rock/alternative station.
The next 2 weeks will be a huge test for me academically. I shouldn't be on LiveJournal or AIM very much until Spring Break. Until then.
