So, turns out the computer room was closed for 'maintenance of the system' for the rest of the week. (I.e., no internet for me since Wednesday -_-) I somehow get the idea they're still not finished, though. Your translations are fine, I think! "Rare heart" makes it sound very special :D As for the official translation, Del Rey kept it as "Hakki Yako."
Doumeki: "It's just what I chose to do." is how it was translated. Works, all. :3

The English translation is actually really good. I don't know where people think it is bad... I have all 6 volumes that are out. They have good notes at the end to explain cultural stuff and references too!

And WOW! That's a long ride! I hope you actually *got* it after all that effort. :O

Ah, thanks for the info ^^! I've been hearing a lot of bad things about the (US) official translation but I've never seen it for myself. But I'm pretty curious about it. Maybe I'll make a seperate post and ask someone to spell out some passages for me so I can see what's so bad(?) about it. Be it good or bad, I'm prepare. I've seen the German translation... and there can't possibly be anything worse that it out there o_O.

I made a 5km bicylcle trip to Tsutaya yesterday (Tuesday) because in the 5 and a half months I've been here they've had Yanmaga early ....about twice.

Yes, I certainly do hope so. I haven't seen all the epsiodes but CCS was good. Was she doing the series composition for Rayearth, too? I've seen like 10 episode of Rayearth 2 and didn't like it all that much (though I love the manga!)...

Ahahahahahahaha ^o^! That must be me becoming Japanese again!! I was thinking EXACTLY the opposite, i.e. "An episode at the beach...?! That must be one hell of a scary episode for Watanuki o_O!!". Japanese people often connect the sea with people who died in the war. Sea = lost/ troubled souls @_@!! I can't imagine poor Watanuki EVER going to the beach! It'd be just like with the cinema or festival at the shrine. Only much worse!!!!

Prediction wild delusion: So Watanuki'll almost drown/ get puled under the water and Doumeki (who else^^?) is going to be the one to rescue him

There couldn't be anything more double-edged that Yanmaga. (Except for the internet, maybe!) It's killing me. In oh so many ways ^^;;.

Like this week, for example: yanmaga was proudly proclaiming the cover girl this issue was 14 (fourteen!!) years old. Now, I could live without knowing that. I really could XO.

Oh, and remember glasses girl? The one on the cover of last week's issue?
I saw her on TV the other day. Wouldn't have recognized her. And it was not because she was actually dressed on TV ^^, haha.
The reason I didn't recognise her is because she wasn't smiling. Or 'grinning stupidly', I should say. That must be the best disguise ever. She doesn't even need a fake nose or a cape or something. She just has to stop smiling and she looks like your average Japanese nerdy girl. *marvels*

I for sure remember the glasses girl from last cover. That's an amazing talent, to go from nerdy Japanese girl to Yanmaga cover model with just a dumb smile. That's some kind of trick...
