Wow, so this is what "super effing cold weather" is.
I wasn't expecting this. It's the kind of weather where your fingers still get numb even though you're wearing insulated leather gloves. That's never happened before, the cold has never penetrated that far. It's the kind of coldness that, gives strange feelings to unprotected body parts, like an unsuspecting nose that you can't feel or wipe for least 15 minutes after you seek refuge indoors.
Even more bizarre is the sun shining brightly over sparkling, powdery snow in 0 degree weather. And that's in Fahrenheit, not Celsius. I still love cold weather, though.
We interrupt this program to talk about something that's been driving chosho crazy recently.
It's her international law class.
The more she attends this class, the more she gets the urge to bash her head against something hard and spiky.
Why?
Because she has to keep up with international politics.
And doing that requires her constant reading of the newspaper, and focusing on all of the articles that point to conflict, conflict, and more conflict between states.
This is about as pleasant to her as bashing her face onto the spiky end of an icicle.
This class is also making her a bit more cynical, disillusioned, and pessimistic than usual about how we, as a world, cannot effing get along with each other without effing giving each other so much effing grief.
And fighting. All. The. Time.
The media doesn't help much either.
In general, she is learning that self-interest and money are possibly what makes the world go round.
She doesn't find this a very pleasant thought.
No indeed.
Chosho thought of the day brought to you by PSCI 4183 and pessimistic tendencies.
Super tired, will sleep off those pessi tendencies and fill up with opties with good dreams. 'Night.
