a quick one
been hanging out at the sister's for a couple of days. we went for cocktails with some of her fellow nurses on friday night and yesterday i was made an honorary member of the ya-ya sisterhood--a bunch of friends who are getting to the point where the kids are moving on to jobs and college and are now getting their fun on. quite the nice time....
tonight, my dad and i are going out to a local jazz spot where they have a sunday night jam session. doubting i'll sing since my dad is the jazz police so he'll only appreciate it if i kill and i'm unlikely to drink so much i don't give a damn. we'll probably just have a couple of drinks and rag on anyone who gets up there with no business being there.
tomorrow, of course, gathering with the immediate family. should be pretty intimate. looking forward to it.
