mellow, busy, mixed
friday, not much went on. another major job app went out. had at least six last week with one more i need to get to. just watched the mariners in the evening, since they were on broadcast, and rented some videos. stadium has all stuff from their horror/fantasy/sf for 99 cents for four days. rented the relic, prince of darkness (which i saw once, partially, years ago and have been meaning to see again since then) and van helsing.
man, am i glad i only spent 99 cents on van helsing! i'm still thinking of writing to writer and director stephen somers to see if i can get the 99 cents and the two hours back. not even hugh jackman, richard roxburgh and kate beckinsale in some kinda ren faire catsuit can make that dreck palatable!
saturday, got up moderately early. straightened up and grabbed a shower. got some groceries and did some dishes. the harn crew came by--gaelfarce, pi_radical, shibe111, singingbarista and special guest star thomryng. we gamed 'til close to five when i had to take off, head down to art & sol, help set up the sound system and then do two sets with cheap 'n' ez. slow at first, but as more people showed up, it got a little easier to do. after the gig, one of the baristas we chatted with, erin (i think), revealed herself to be a drummer, so that may be promising...!
then it was breakdown, load out, put all the stuff in mike's basement and home, where we resumed about 8 pm and gamed 'til 11. i had eaten, on and off but the day was so busy that i was ravenous by the time people left. so made a big dinned while i watched some s.n.l., called in my unemployment claim and finally got to bed.
today, job apps and movies mostly.
