fourth resume this week and it's only tuesday. got two or three other decent prospects so that should be a good amount of submissions.
i have come to realize that i was relying on the humps from these agencies too much. they've always got some listing, or are gonna have some listing. and i'll always be great for it but the employer wants to see some more candidates and then the hr director leaves which delays things weeks. then the person decides not to quit after all....
or something of the sort. anyway, despite having gotten several nice contracts through agencies, the number doesn't begin to compare to the things that have fallen through.
it's good they have my resumes. it's good they're following leads for me. but i need to be on this myself--really, i had been up 'til flu. so i'm back to getting paper out. usually PDFs.
anyway, mariners on broadcast tonight. probably doing an open mike down at shakbrah java tomorrow with olivas, since we have both recuperated. rehearsal thursday, gaming at norwescon on friday (and parties!), theo's game on saturday with a gig saturday night. i shall be busy.
must clean and do some laundry today
and, yes, i will be staying up 'til 1:02 and three seconds this morning...!
