I do like those mugs, especially the one at the bottom left of the first picture. It looks as if it might well hold a pint of good real beer.

So that's what a cone is - I'd been wondering what 'cone n' meant. It looks as if they droop over at set temperatures.

Give the Woollitts a stroke or three from me, please!

Heat work rather than temperature. That's why I thought going longer at 1260 would get me there eventually. 1300 is standard, but if it was a very fast firing, 1300 might only be cone 7 or 8.

And yes, that is a rather large one. I haven't measured it, but it is large.

Ah, I see - the cones measure the product of time and temperature, not just peak/end temperature reached.

And yes, that is a rather large one. I haven't measured it, but it is large.

I reckon a bottle of South Devon Brewery Devon Porter would fill it very nicely...

I just measured it in preparation for small talk with potential buyers today. It holds about 800ml, so you could fit the contents of an entire bottle of wine in there.

That sounds good for a lively bottle of beer - sometimes I have to pour with pauses to let the head settle, and end up disturbing the sediment in the bottle.

After I've got a new job, and if you decide to make any more to sell, I'd be interested in a couple of them.
