Wow, wow, WOW! Gorgeous! Can I fill those with tea???? This is the first time I've seen you do a "single colour glaze" as opposed the the mixed one I've got. Is this just a creative-y thing, or are you planning to do other colours?
Fab pics of the cat - I *so* know how you feel! xox
I made some peacock/black ones last summer, and a friend bought a few. She asked for more, so I made more. I'm low on mug stock so I made extras. And yes, they are fully functional.
And Spider... well... it's the price we pay for his company. He's a lovely cat. :-)
Heat work rather than temperature. That's why I thought going longer at 1260 would get me there eventually. 1300 is standard, but if it was a very fast firing, 1300 might only be cone 7 or 8.
And yes, that is a rather large one. I haven't measured it, but it is large.
I just measured it in preparation for small talk with potential buyers today. It holds about 800ml, so you could fit the contents of an entire bottle of wine in there.

So that's what a cone is - I'd been wondering what 'cone n' meant. It looks as if they droop over at set temperatures.
Give the Woollitts a stroke or three from me, please!

I reckon a bottle of South Devon Brewery Devon Porter would fill it very nicely...
