If you feel jerked around, underused and generally ignored at a job do you quit?

I'm getting all the signals and can't handle this anymore.

Yes very good advice.

The main thing that ticked me off is that I was passed over to go on the first trip up to this contaminated gold mine and the reason being that I am just an 'Interim' employee. The one project manager also told the person in charge of the trip that I was going back to school in the Fall (Which he knows is not true). So basically it was for bullshit reasons. There is alot to it, but the fact is i'm not really getting any hours right now.

It turns out that I am in a proposal (that they say should be accepted) to travel to a land farm in Taloyoak Nunavut (4-5 Seperate week trips!). They have me budgeted for 270 hours this summer. This alone would sustain me over the next few months. So i've decided if they don't get the project, or renag on my hours i'll leave.

That's a mouthful.

I've also been applying like crazy for jobs all across Canada. I would have had a job offer for this Regional District in B.C. if the power handn't gone out during my phone interview so I couldn't read my 'cheat' sheet with all of B.C.'s planning legislation on it.

Well, that's rather assy. Is the project manager your boss? If not, I'd raise the issue and make it known that you are indeed not going to be at class in the fall. That' some high quality BS.

But good choice. Fuck 'em if they don't give you the hours.
