It's been so long since I have written here. I wish I kept up on it. I wish I could go back and read all the posts from the past two years I never wrote. Because it has been such a long time, I don't even know what to say. When you write often enough, you can write about something completely stupid and irrelevant, but if you haven't posted in practically two years, it seems like whatever you have to say should be monumental. Well, it's not.
I'm still at SJSU. I think I will be there forever. Once I have the degree it won't matter how long it took me to get it. Right? I signed up for classes today. So far I have eight. I still need to sign up for lessons, which will make it nine, for a total of fourteen units, I think. That is such crap. The next two semesters are going to be really hard for me. I have to power through them though, or I am pretty sure my parents will kill me. I'm busting my ass just to finish in three years, and they are pissed it is taking me this long. It won't matter once I have the degree...
I have rehearsal in half an hour. I'm singing in a wedding tomorrow. Who gets married on a Wednesday?
Things going on this summer:
- Working in the music office
- Singing in a wedding
- Counselor at SJSU's summer music camp. I'm teaching theory, conducting, and singing to instrumentalists.
- Going to be in another opera. Aaron Copeland's "The Tender Land"
- Going camping with Chris
- Going to LA to see Eric Whitacre's opera, "Paradise Lost"/Disneyland
- Learning music for my Senior Rectial.
I thought this summer was going to be slow. I guess it will be compared to the school year.
