perfect day
so today i had a lovely adventure with my mom.
we left the house around 11 and arrived at the four seasons at noon where we had reservations for high tea. pretentious? yes. entertaining? absolutely.
i had never been to the four seasons before..but here we were standing in the entryway pretending like we belonged there. it was fantastic.
upon sitting down the waiter asked us if we'd like some water and if so, what type? what type? i thought there was one: tap. but apparently not. i have never been anywhere that asked you what type of water you wanted. how fantastic and unneccessary is that? hahaha
i wound up taking a picture of the platter of tiny sandwiches they brought out. they were adorable. let me tell you what isn't adorable. cavier. i don't think i'll be trying that anytime soon..guess it's a texture thing.
this whole experience was very strange (me and mom laughed a lot)..whenever i said thank you, i was met with silent. i found that odd. oh well.
anyway, after leaving that adventure, we went and saw Sister Act: The Musical at the Alliance and that was extremely entertaining. i would strongly suggest going to see it.
Following the play we went shopping at Lenox..didn't find much, but it was still nice to walk around for a while.
So that was it. My lovely day out with mom. i even forgot about cluster f for a while and all the things i'll be busy doing this week. it was nice. and i'm going to take a little more time and keep enjoying it. what a marvelous day.
