As the train finally pulled to a stop at their destination, Mika removed his arm from where it had been wrapped around Karam’s waist and they both quickly made their way out of the still fully packed train carriage.

“Umm sorry about before,” Mika said awkwardly referring to their closeness on the train as they walked out of the train station and onto the main road.

Seeing Mika all embarrassed, Karam smiled and replied, “It’s okay, and you didn’t really have much of a choice back there haha. I couldn’t believe how packed and busy it was though. I thought there’d be less people on the weekend.”

“Yeaa, that’s what I thought too! Oh well let’s hope the train won’t be that packed on the way back,” Mika replied, glad that Karam didn’t think he was a perv for hugging him the whole train journey.

The bookstore was only a 10-minute walk from the train station so it didn’t take long to arrive there. As they walked, Mika pointed out different buildings along the way to Karam telling him that the building on the left to them was famous for selling electronic devices and the next building after that sold men’s clothes etc etc.

Karam just smiled as he listened to Mika talk as they walked towards their destination. He didn’t realize that Mika could be so talkative, his first impression of Mika was just someone who was quiet and would prefer to keep to himself. However, the more time that Karam spent with Mika, the more he realized just how talkative a person Mika could be.

“We’re here!” Mika exclaimed breaking Karam from his train of thoughts. Karam looked up and saw a white building that was three-storeys high. Through the full-length glass windows of the building, Karam could see some people sitting down in couches reading and some people standing next to the shelves of books lining up on every level.

“Wow, it looks so cool! C’mon, c’mon let’s go in,” Karam replied excitedly as he grabbed Mika’s hand and practically dragged Mika along behind him. Mika just laughed at the boy’s reaction and was glad that Karam couldn’t see his face right now as he could feel his cheeks colouring from witnessing Karam’s cuteness.

After wandering around and checking out all the levels of the building, Karam finally decided to stop in a corner of the second level where the manga books were shelved. “Oh my god, so many manga books!! Wow I could spend all day in here! Mika-hyung, do you like reading manga?” Karam asked as he turned around to face Mika, his eyes shining brightly with excitement.

Mika couldn’t help but chuckle at Karam’s cuteness again. “Hmm occasionally I do. You really like books don’t you Karam?”

“Yep!” Karam replied cheerfully as he returned his attention back to the books on the shelves in front of him. Mika just continued to watch in amusement, right now Karam looked like a little boy who had just discovered a room filled with his favourite candy.

After spending at least another hour browsing through the shelves, Karam was finally finished and had a pile of books in his arms ready to go. He saw Mika sitting on a couch on the other side of the room and shouted, “Mika-hyung!”

Mika looked up from where he had been reading a magazine and smiled at how cute Karam looked juggling with the pile of books in his arms as he attempted to walk in a straight line towards him.

“I’m done!” Karam said happily as Mika got up and started walking over to help Karam. Just as Mika was nearing Karam, a book from the top pile of Karam’s bundle suddenly slid off. Karam attempted to catch the book but this led to him trying to balance the pile of books in one hand while using the other to try and catch the falling book.

This obviously did not work as the pile of books started to topple sideways and in Karam’s attempt to save those too, he ended up tripping on his own feet and falling forward. Mika, who was witnessing this adorable yet dangerous situation, quickly rushed forward to catch the flailing Karam in his arms while trying to dodge the pile of books that had fallen on the floor in case he slipped on them. Karam blushed as he felt himself being enveloped in Mika’s embrace for the second time that day.

“Are you okay Karam?” Mika asked as he took a step back resting his arms around Karam’s slender waist. Karam, who was blushing furiously from the embarrassment of having tripped and scattered books everywhere and then having fallen into Mika’s arms just kept his head lowered as he nodded his head back in response.

Uwahhhh so cuteeee Mika thought to himself. He then realized that he still had his arms wrapped around Karam and they were standing in the middle of the bookstore. Mika quickly pulled his arms away from where they had been resting comfortably around Karam’s waist, looked around and then sighed in relief when he saw they were the only two people on the level (or well as far as he could see anyway).

“Ah, the books,” Karam said as he looked around at the pile of books scattered around them. He quickly bent down and started picking them up.

“Here, let me help you,” Mika said as he knelt down beside Karam and started helping out. Not wanting to risk Karam tripping over again from carrying too many books, Mika took half the pile into his arms as they stood up. “Okay, all done, let’s go Karam,” Mika said as he started walking to the stairs. Karam just nodded and followed along behind.

They walked down to the bottom level to pay for the books and then Mika helped Karam put some of the books into Karam’s backpack, and then carried the rest in another bag the shop provided. As they walked out the doors Karam was smiling again, feeling happy and content with all the books he’d managed to buy today.

“Hmm … where should we go next hyung?” Karam asked as he shielded his eyes from the midday sun that was glaring at them. Mika looked around for ideas and spotted a familiar building on the corner of the road across from them.

Pointing Karam in the direction of the building, Mika asked, “Do you like going to arcade centres Karam?” Karam’s gaze followed where Mika was pointing and his eyes widened in excitement.

“Oooh I haven’t been to one in ages! Wahhh Mika-hyung lets go let’s go, I wanna go play!!!” After looking both ways to check there were no cars, Karam skipped across the road happily with Mika following behind him chuckling to himself once again at Karam’s adorable reactions.

In the Arcade Centre ...

Wow, playing with Karam is totally different to when I come here with Hyunmin Mika thought to himself after 15 minutes of playing in the game centre. When he came here occasionally with Hyunmin, they’d always be competing against each other on pretty much any sports game they could find their hands on in the centre. However, coming to the arcade centre with Karam was a totally different experience. Instead of competing with each other, Mika found he could just relax and have fun around Karam.

Mika laughed jokingly at Karam when he failed to throw the ball into the hoop for the tenth time in a row. He guessed basketball wasn’t Karam’s strong point.

“Here, you’re doing it wrong,” Mika said as he came up to stand behind Karam. “You’re throwing it with too much force. That’s why the ball keeps bouncing off the hoop. You have to learn to relax a bit.”

“O-oh,” was all Karam could stutter out as he tried not to fidget at their close proximity.

Putting his hands on top of Karam’s, Mika lifted the ball up and shot it lightly into the hoop with ease. “See, easy,” Mika said as he let go of Karam’s hands. “Here, now try again,” Mika said as he passed another ball to Karam.

“T-thanks,” Karam said as he caught the ball. Remembering Mika’s instructions of not using too much force, Karam relaxed his tight grip on the ball, slowly lifted it up and aimed it carefully at the hoop. Instead of throwing the ball at the hoop away from himself like it was some sort of disease, Karam tried a different tactic and threw it into the hoop thinking of the ball as an egg that needed to be thrown softly to avoid cracking it.[A/N: yeaaa I know that’s a lame way of putting it haha I’m not a basketball expert lol please don’t hit me XD]

“Waahh!!” Karam screamed as the ball fell through the hoop perfectly. “I did it! Thank you hyung!!” Karam said as he turned around to give Mika a big hug.

“Hahaha its okay, I didn’t really do that much,” Mika replied as he patted Karam on the back. After a few more shots, Karam declared he’d had enough of basketball for the day and they moved onto the next game, which happened to be racing. It was a pretty crazy match what with Karam always trying to hit Mika and drive him off the road because he knew he wasn’t as good at Mika in driving. But in the end Mika managed to escape and win first place.

Afterwards they pretty much played every other game in the arcade they could find that was a multi-player. Mika couldn’t remember the last time he ever had so much fun. After their last game of Street Fighter IV (where Karam won for the first time), Mika spotted some comfy-looking couches in a corner and dragged Karam with him to the spot. Sitting down with a sigh, Mika looked at his watch and saw they had been playing in the arcade for close to 2 hours now.

“Wow, I think this is the longest I’ve ever played in an arcade,” Karam said as he dropped his backpack on the floor and plopped down next to Mika.

“Yeah, same here, I think,” Mika said as he relaxed into the couch. “Ahh I’m so tired …”

Karam just let Mika rest for a bit as he looked around. Suddenly Karam’s eyes shot wide open as he spotted something they’d missed during their wild game playing before. “Hyung,” Karam said tugging on Mika’s top. “Look!”

“What?” Mika asked as he raised his head up from where he had been leaning against the couch. He looked to where Karam was staring and saw a sticker photo booth standing just a few meters away from them.

“Hyung, can we take some photos? Please ~” Karam asked as he turned around to face Mika with those adorable puppy dog eyes. Omg how can I say no to that adorable face thought Mika as he felt butterflies in his stomach.

“O-of course we can Karam,” Mika replied quickly.

“Yayy!” Karam said as he jumped up from the couch. Grabbing Mika’s hand, Karam helped pull him up from the couch and then he was off running for the photo booth machine. By the time Mika made his way over to the booth with Karam’s backpack and the bag of books, Karam had already inserted the money and was busy choosing from the different options.

“I’ve always wanted to try using one of these,” Karam explained as he kept pressing different buttons. “There weren’t many of these in the states. Oh well they did have some, but they weren’t as good, they had really boring ones. There, done!” Karam exclaimed as he hit the okay button.

They listened to the female voice of the machine talk as she explained that the photos would be taken from 2 different cameras in different spots for different angles, and there will be a total of 15 shots taken but they could only choose 12 of the 15 shots.

Once she finished the introduction speech, the computer screen counted down the seconds before the cameras would start taking the pictures and Mika and Karam got ready to start posing.

20 minutes later ...

“Anndddd I’m done!” Karam said as he added the final touches to their photos on the screen. “Wow, I never realized decorating photos could be so much fun!”

Mika had to agree with Karam on that. After choosing the 12 photos out of the 15 taken, they had spent another 15 minutes adding the special effects and the like onto their photos and it really was a lot of fun. It made Mika feel artistic XD

“Okay, I’m done too,” Mika replied as he put the pen down. Karam double-checked his artworks one last time before then hitting the okay button to confirm it.

“Yayy ~ now to wait for the photos to develop …” Karam said as he squatted down in front of the machine waiting for the photos to come out. It didn’t take long; a few seconds later, there was a buzzing noise and then the photos dropped down into the slot at the bottom of the booth.

“Uwahhhh these look so cool hyung!” Karam exclaimed as he stood up. “Here’s yours,” Karam said as he handed Mika his page of photos. Mika took one look at the photos and couldn’t help but laugh.

“Hahaha, oh my god Karam what did you do ~ why do I have a heart shape on my cheek in this one? And this one oh my god I have a pink bow on my head!” Karam just laughed along with Mika as they walked out of the booth.

“What, you got a problem with my awesome artwork? I’m trying to make you look more attractive and cute here! Don’t you know cute boys are more attractive these days? You’re just jealous of my skills hahaha. But seriously what’s with this photo here?” Karam asked as he pointed to a photo that Mika had edited. “You put a halo above my head and I have angel wings on my back! Hahah and you made yourself the devil? Aww but you do look cute with those horns on your head hahahha.”

Mika felt his cheeks tinge slightly as he heard Karam address him as ‘cute’ for the second time that day. “Ah well I just thought those roles were appropriate for that particular photo. You’re smiling so brightly in it yet I have such a sour look on my face, I don’t know why you insisted on choosing that photo as one of the 12 we could pick hahaha. The angel role suits you perfectly though with your beautiful facial features - ah!” Mika quickly put a hand up to cover his mouth as he realized he just voiced out his inner thoughts.

“Awww that’s so sweet of you hyung, I’ll take that as a compliment,” Karam replied with a smile as he watched Mika’s face flush red. For some reason he enjoyed teasing Mika and making him blush, Mika’s reactions were just too cute!

“Ah I’m kind of hungry now after playing for so long, lets go eat now!” Mika said hurriedly changing the subject. Karam just laughed and followed along behind Mika who was trying to walk faster to hide his face in embarrassment. I can’t believe I actually said that out loud >.< Mika thought as he looked around for the closest food store after they exited the arcade centre.

Spotting a BBQ restaurant a few shops down the road, Mika quickly led the way and soon they were seated at a table ordering their meals.

When the waiter walked away, Karam turned his attention to the sticker photos again. “Hyung, pass me your phone,” Karam asked. Mika fished out his phone from his pocket and handed it to Karam obediently. Looking at the photos again, Karam thought for awhile and then peeled off one of the photos on the page and stuck it on the back of Mika’s phone.

“There, done! Here you can have it back now,” Karam smiled happily as he passed Mika’s phone back to him. “You can’t take the sticker off, if I find out you did I’m going to tell everyone that you called me an angel today,” Karam said smugly.

“What?? That’s not fair!” Mika exclaimed. “Well in that case then,” Mika quickly grabbed Karam’s phone that had been sitting on the table, looked at his page of photos, chose one at random and then did the same and stuck it on the back of Karam’s phone. “There, and you can’t remove yours either!”

Karam laughed at Mika’s childish actions. “Haha okay I wont take mine off either, if I do, then you can tell the whole school about how I, Park Hyunchul got lost on my first day of school, agree?”

“Agree,” Mika replied as he put his phone back into his pocket. The food arrived not long after and they started eating. They were both hungry from having exhausted themselves at the arcade before and having spent awhile in the bookstore before that.

The rest of the day passed by quickly and soon it was time to head back. The train ride back was less awkward and eventful this time as there weren’t many people on this late and they were able to find seats. When they got off the train Mika offered to walk Karam back since he was still carrying the bag of books from this morning.

When they arrived at Karam’s house, they were greeted by Karam’s parents who thanked Mika for taking Karam out and showing him around the whole day. Mika just smiled and assured them that it was no problem as Karam was a very entertaining person to be around.

“Well I guess I’ll see you at school on Monday then,” Mika said awkwardly as the parents left to cook dinner leaving Mika and Karam alone again.

“Yep, of course! We should meet up for lunch break, I’ll come find you again!” Karam replied happily.

“Haha okay sure, you can introduce me to your new friends that you made,” Mika replied with a smile.

“Yay can’t wait! Anyway you better get going, its starting to get dark - better to get home before dark is what my parents always tell me.”

“Haha okays then, I’ll be a good boy and leave now,” Mika replied obediently while pouting pretending to looking upset.

Karam laughed at Mika adorable pout. “Awww there there, you’ll see me again in another two days, no need to sulk,” Karam said as he poked Mika’s cheeks. “Thanks for the awesome day today hyung, I had a lot of fun!”

“You’re welcome,” Mika said smiling back. “I had a great time today too, I haven’t had so much fun since middle school I think,” Mika replied as he ruffled Karam’s hair lightly.

“Ahh not the hair!” Karam said as he batted Mika’s hand away. “Now get going you, you’re not wanted here anymore hahaha ~ “ he said jokingly as he tried to push Mika away.

“Awww, after I spent all day showing you around, carrying your books for you and treating you to lunch this is what I get? Not even a hug or a goodnight kiss?” The last was said as a joke of course, and so Mika was surprised when Karam suddenly stepped forward and pressed his lips lightly against Mika’s cheek.

“There, happy now?” Karam asked as he pulled back with a mischievous grin on his face. Mika could only stand there in shock. “Now get going, and remember,” Karam said pulling his phone out, “don’t remove the sticker or else! Goodnight hyung! See you at school on Monday!” and with that Karam closed the door on Mika who was still standing there in shock, speechless from Karam’s kiss just seconds ago. Oh my god, did he, he did didn’t he? He just kissed me?? On the cheek?? I wasn’t dreaming?? >.< >.< >.<

Needless to say, Mika spent the rest of the night in bed wide awake repeating Karam's goodnight kiss in his head over and over again.
