Yet again, technology has failed me.  Herbert, who is a baby Toshiba netbook bought in October to replace my dead laptop, is now critically ill.  As in, won't turn on.  Actually, he will turn on, but not all the way. So all I get is a striking picture of a church in Edinburgh, which, while pretty, is not hugely useful to me

I could lend you my Compaq, you'd at least have something to work on? Is a brick, mind, but it, uh, turns on.

I don't know where my warranty thingy has gone :(It's been tidied away in one of the sporadic bursts of cleaning and now I can't find it! Argh!

October! He is indeed a delinquent! Is he still under warranty?

He is, but I can't find the details at the minute. And the only recognised Toshiba shop in Dublin is miles away. I miss him a lot. Keep having to borrow my flatmates' computers for five minute email-checking bursts.
