Get well soon, Herbert!

Yet again, technology has failed me.  Herbert, who is a baby Toshiba netbook bought in October to replace my dead laptop, is now critically ill.  As in, won't turn on.  Actually, he will turn on, but not all the way. So all I get is a striking picture of a church in Edinburgh, which, while pretty, is not hugely useful to me.

I haven't dropped him, I haven't spilt liquid on him, I have treated him with nothing but love and concern.  It's like lavishing affection and care on a child and having them grow up to be a teenage delinquent.  Such a disappointment.

Everywhere I go, I leave a trail of technological destruction and woe.
