Last night i saw Ladder 49 with Tracie, Vic, Chani, John V, and some friend of Johns named Tom...it was deffinitely one of the saddest movies i've seen! :(. i didn't think it would have such a sad ending, but thats one of the rare times i've actually cried during a movie (in theaters at least). then today i went shoppin with syd and mer and we saw ( Read more... )

I don't think people understand Kerry's positions because he is way too wishy-washy and that he was selected to be the Democratic Nominee because people thought he had a chance against Bush (seriously, Dean fell apart largely due to people realizing that he was too left-wing to possibly win, so they chose Kerry and screwed up even more).

I mean, Kerry has hardly explained his positions throughly and his qualifications to be the president, and if he does it is difficult to comprehend if he truly means what he says.

On the debate itself, I thought Kerry whooped Bush (due to how calm and well-spoken he was, no matter how much I disagreed with him), but my thoughts on the debate were not shared by too many people (where they're pretty dead-even it appears). It appears what people really wanted was to see Bush come out swinging instead of being a leash. Much of this campaign's outcome will be decided on the next debate, but will either candidate make a breakthrough?

Yes, I get your point. In fact I was like that before I actually listened to Kerry and gained more respect for him. From the start we all start out with a political bias and use that to judge how people act in a political debate and what we over all think of them. Now, honestly, no one can be perfectly divided and see both Bush and Kerry as the same. I think your points are good, but you are still incredibly biased and shouldn't look on republicans so critically...in fact I am one and I looked at both sides and tried to see both sides through an unbiased appearance. I still came to the same conclusion though...and yes, I do know both sides. I watch the debates, read the news paper, look at the websites, and know my stuff. Don't be so mean about republicans because you are doing the same thing to them as they are doing to you.

I know about both sides' positions, and I generally find myself agreeing with the Republicans. I do not agree with all of their positions, but in general I find that their views are more comprehensive (even though I do admit that one has to research to understand a conservative position when a liberal position is easier to shout out).

And rest assured, everyone gets extremely pissed off in politics from time-to-time. This is Clark, by the way.

Out of all the people I know, Bush supporters know more about the issues and both candidates than the Kerry supporters.
Kerry supporters seem to be just spoonfed what the media and people in general say, and none of it is pro-Bush.
And you can hardly say Bush is going to nuke the world if you go look at Kerry's North Korea policy.

Wow! okay! sorry to piss you off brian...maybe YOU know a lot about Kerry but i'm just saying that i know A LOT of Bush supporters don't, and that doesn't necessarily include you. like i'll ask them if they have any idea whatsoever of what Kerry's plans are, and tehy say "hell no...i don't give a shit." and i understand that a lot of democrats are that way about Bush, but obviously they WOULD know a lot more about him since he was actually president for 4 years.

Nah, you didnt piss me off, Im used to this stuff by now.

I see the point you make about democrats knowing Bush, but it doesnt work. Can you tell me what Bush's Iraq plan is? Where does he stand on stem-cell research?

bush's iraq plans=keep troops in as long as needed to set up an interim government, though how long that will take, it's hard to say, seeing as we can't completely kill ALL terrorists ( ... )
