Don't know if it'd be encouraging or not to know I had a somewhat analogous experience on Friday...
Senior project presentation (even though it's my junior year, I'm taking Senior Seminar). It was like a junior recital in computer science. I was so psyched up. The talk goes pretty well, that is, everything before the awesome demo I spent the entire previous day preparing. I start up the computers to do the demo, and realize that one of the cables isn't plugged in. I attach those, but I fear it's too late. I try anyway, since they seemed to come up OK. No such luck. My time is up; I can't afford to start both of the computers over again.
The super-cool demo, the part of the presentation that I was most excited about, flopped completely. For my senior project. Never again will I have that audience back--I suppose that's the worst part. For once in my life I have a captive audience with more than ten people, and I come out of it looking like a blundering idiot.
So you're not alone. You'll feel better in a couple days... just have some ice cream, and sleep. :)

I'm so sorry to see that you have recently experienced a similar disappointment, however good it is to hear from you again. Bah. It seems as though we've both been having difficult times this semester; but I hope that you have also had a fair amount of good that has come out of this year. I'll be home from May 6-12, so if you happen to be around then, call me!! I miss you, and it would be fabulous to hang out again. (=

Next week is exams, and I'm playing Commencement the week after that, so I'll still be here. :( But I will see you again... sometime I'm sure.
