This is probably going to seem like an odd vote since he's more of a minor character, but I really like the idea of Reks from Final Fantasy XII for your application (wiki article! ...Although, it does have some spoilers if you're unfamiliar with FFXII). Your description of your overall personality fits Reks perfectly though! I could even picture him just reading it. Reks isn't very confident in himself or his own abilities (although he tries his best), so he's also drawn to and admires those he sees as confident. Despite all of the bad things Reks went through in his past, he always seemed like a very optimistic character...he wanted to help his younger brother Vaan and children like him to see the world as a good place, rather than the world they were living in that was torn apart by politics. Given his past and growing up as an orphan, I imagine Reks would also have the same mindset that there is no such thing as a lost cause when it comes to humanity either! I'm not familiar with Reks, although breyzyyin gave a fantastic explanation... so I'm going to go with Yuna.

Like Yuna, you come across as deeply caring and gentle, and you seem to take responsibility on your shoulders more often than not - like how you say you'd save the world because it was depending on you. It also matches with how you tend to over-think things; Yuna's constantly trying to be alone with her thoughts, especially once she starts having a crisis of faith; she needs to think things through calmly. She is, like you, not the kind of person who'd control people, and as a summoner, she would definitely share your sentiment about humanity.

Your note about confidence also reminds me of her - she's drawn to Tidus, who is cheerful, optimistic and definitely confident, and who buoys her spirits up immensely when she's down. I definitely agree with the Yuna votes :) I don't much to add that the others have already mentioned, but in general Yuna is shy, optimistic, calm, and mature. The only difference is Yuna is a leader (although there are times where she wished she didn't have so much responsibility), but that didn't my opinion much.

I would have to say Yuna as well. Especially in your [ a / few / choices ] section, I saw Yuna immediately. You seem to be a caring optimist, not too loud, just quiet and shy.
