No, I've been back to Germany only once so far. It's just too freaking expensive (1400$+++) to get back home. Same vice versa. That's the first time a family member is coming over! I think it's better to get a Japanese notebook after all, huh? x_X
But ... it's REALLY ugly!!!! I might really puke and then it's broken before I get to use it O_O ... *lol* XD ... I don't care too much about the design but it's sooo ugly!! XD Apart from that everything else is exactly how I want it to be (x_X) Guess I have to make a pro/con list with my options after all x_x ....
do you use a protective film on your display? what brand of notebook are you using now? :)
Thanks so much for your comment ^-^ And I've never been in Nagoya before, so I'm looking forward to it ^-^
I don't use a protective film on my laptop but I'm considering using it. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1420. It's not a great laptop, it shuts down when it gets too hot. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but then, I don't know what other laptop is better. :P and you're welcome. :)
I just cancelled the Epson from my list although it was my favorite, but Epson notebooks don't exist in Germany, so once I go back I'd bee doomed.
Now it's basically between the Fujitsu and the Lenovo. And I fear it'll be the ugly Lenovo in the end unless I find a better solution.
I can't bring myself to buy a glossy-type display :/ If it's not raining too much tomororw before work, I'll bike to the local electronic stores and have a look at the current models. Maybe that helps a bit :)
I agree with you about ugly design laptop. xD When I saw it like eww. xD I know when I was young my dad had it so ugly and old. :P but he threw it away finally 'cause it's broken.
I love this pink notebook with Japanese Kanji words. xD It look really easy to me. xD I like your dream design. And I don't know about glare-type what's it mean? o.o;; sorry. Well in my opinion That's nice for your family get it for you in Aug. :]
It's really ugly, yeah?! So if I have to work with such an ugly notebook every day how will I feel? It would feel like heaven to work with the lightblue one, I guess (*_*)
glare-type means the display has a mirror-effect. It reflects everything around it. You can see your face in the display, light from windows, sunshine .. which is why it's annoying! sometimes you can't see things on your display not properly anymore x___x *sigh* thanks ^-^
I've used the Lenovo Thinkpad. My university uses it so it must be quite durable since there's like thousands of students using it everyday. It's ugly yes, but boy it's really good.
Sounds really good! If only it was not so ugly!!! Can I mix the lightblue NEC and the ugly ThinkPad please??!! (*_*) ... XDDDD Thanks for your comment! :D
ThinkPads last forever and ever and ever and ever and you could drop it on the floor AND IT'D STILL LIVE ON. Just that they're ugly imho lol.
My heart doki doki at the NEC one. It's so cute!
*cough*
I would go with the Fujitsu you linked up there, and then buy a protective display to make it non-glare (which is what I did for my current Fujitsu). But my second choice would be to go for the ThinkPad because it is indestructible hahaha.
*lol* That sounds great!!!!! Maybe that's why they're so ugly? XD I don't wanna heart ThinkPads feelings, but UGH!!! (>_>'') ... Can I mix the NEC one with the ThinkPad?? That'd be awesome (*___*)v Or can some other maker (some maker that's availabe overseas, too) quickly produce another pink or lightblue one for me?!!! (*__*) *puppy eyes*
Well, the glare Fujitsu and ugly non-glare Thinkpad are ALMOST the same pricewise. Like I said there's also the option ot go cray and get a custom made Fujitsu, non-glare and all, but that would cost me a looooooot more (>_>'') ............ Of course you have that custom-made option with other makers, too (Jesus, I researched A LOT today ... *exhausted* - but most others will get waaaaaaaaay too expensive then x__X ...) Well the good thing is that limits things down a bit, ne? ^-^;;
LOL seriously, I always wonder why ThinkPad can't just get some better designers....with the quality and affordable pricing, they could kill off their competitors if their stuff would just LOOK CUTER. XDDD;;;
Oh, HK has some computer malls selling computer accessories....that's how I get my matte film. Usually they're just based on size, so all I just needed was a size 16 inch matte film.....the shop assistants even stick it on for you if you have your computer with you. ^^v
Well, if I can't find it at all in Japan (aka I'm too stupid) THAT'S something I can order in Germany and get sent here without any problems XDDDD Or I just go to an electronic store and ask XD
Yah, really! What's wrong with them? Maybe only old men work as designers for them! XDDD
Also ich hab nen Fujitsu Amilo und bin sehr zufrieden, also muss jetzt nicht unbedingt der Amilo sein, aber generell ist Fujitsu ne gute Wahl, find ich (^^)
Was laptops angeht hab ich ja festgestellt... je besser desto hässlicher D: Will auch nen süßen pinken laptop (>o<)
