One of the ways to get your kid to agree to a haircut is....

May 17, 2010 22:40

To send some subliminal (or direct) message that your kid's hair is old-school. Not as in your kid is more old-school than you. It's your kid is old-school. Full stop. Try comparing him or her or they to a musician or a personality that have history of bad hair or their hairstyles are a hit.... back then or a personality that they dislike. Any personality will do from TV personalities to drug addicts to infamous criminals.

When you are at the barber or saloon or anywhere that offers haircuts and hair styling, tell the intended barber/stylist to make your kid's hair 'young and hip'. Don't forget the comparison. For example, "Give my son a haircut that doesn't make him look like Charles Manson."
