I'M FREE*
(*except not really but wow am I not thinking of that right now)
The second draft of my Vampire Big Bang's done, and it's sent off to the artist! Yes! Now I can start working through some of the posts I have saved up! (I wrote posts when I really, really wanted to talk about things, but I didn't post so I wouldn't have more comments than I had time for. ~balance~)
(And if any of the comments I just left made no sense? It's about four in the morning, I'm cold-enabled, and I've been listening to dance music all day. The reason this post is even near coherent is because I wrote it two days ago and have steadily been adding to it.)
(And for all the people who left me the long, lovely fic comments: I'm waiting until I sleep to answer them, but omg you're all amazing and really helped pull me through edits. ♥♥♥)
So. These past few days:
-Muse at Reading! Which I only saw part of because it was the same terrible stream as MCR at Reading, and they only showed part of the Origin of Symmetry songs anyway because, to paraphrase one of the broadcasters, "they weren't comfortable showing songs they hadn't practiced in so long". (Because you play for thousands at a festival, but the people on TV are too much? Yeah. Don't believe it.) Whatever, someone uploaded Megalomania, which is my all-time favorite Muse song. I'll live.
-Brian May - who performed with drag!Gaga and MCR days within each other! - said Gerard reminded him of Freddie Mercury. dafdlkjsdfkalsdfj And FRANK OMG STOP MAKING ME CRY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. (Except don't.)
-Panic! (and extended family) being wonderful! Brendon and Spencer and Zack wished Ryan a happy birthday! ALL THE FEELINGS. And then there was Breezy taking pictures in a bikini because Brendon and Dallon were doing stage gay (yes please), more Brendon being half-naked and cozying up to anyone who would stay still for him (YES PLEASE), Dallon and Zack tweeting flirtatiously, and the sexiness of Spencer Smith (current desktop!). And that's only some of it. It's official: I will be an incoherent mess when October rolls around.
-VMAs! Let's start with the Epic Bromance that is Pete and Gabe. I should've known because I knew Cobra was playing at the pre-show and Pete and Gabe kept tweeting suggestively, but: Pete went as Gabe's date. There was no drag involved (with them anyway), but the sight of the two of them laughing in the background of other things going on made my life, basically. And then Pete went online after the show and purposely looked up gifs with the two of them. And talked about the way Gabe eye-fucked him during the Cobra performance (okay, looked at him, same difference). And that's doesn't even cover the in-room date.
And while I'm mentioning Cobra, how great is Night Shades? I danced around my house like a doofus on my first listen, which is pretty much the highest praise I can give any album.
-More on the VMAs: I'm apparently the only one who doesn't care about the Beyonce-Hova spawn, and I somewhat enjoyed the Bruno Mars tribute to Amy Winehouse. (Very odd seeing him on TV, considering the last time I saw him was at his show.) Adele's performance gave me chills, as always; I've seen a bunch of live Someone Like Yous that look exactly like the VMA performance, and it doesn't get old for me.
But most of all: Jo Calderone! I totally respect anyone that doesn't like Gaga (heck, I can understand hating her for the lyrics of Born This Way alone. I can't stand that song). But that monologue gave me chills.
-And, of course, Supernatural. Vancon was over the weekend, and shenanigans were wacky and adorable, as per usual. (Safeword. SAFEWORD.) And there's a couple spoilers I want to talk about without putting a spoiler warning on the entire post, so time for highlight text!
( skip) First spoiler: "We see Cas' heaven in 7x01 and it's boring." Guess that confirms him dying? And angels get heavens, I guess? I'm really excited to see what this means; since Misha's around for the first couple episodes, it could go a lot of different ways.
( skip) Second spoiler: "J2 practically confirm Bobby's house set broken down." I'm so glad I heard this one in advance; it actually upset me a little, and I'm not sure why. I talked with rahnekat1 about it, and we're both reasonably sure it doesn't mean Bobby's permanently dead - Sam and Dean could easily inherit the property unless something went wrong - but obviously, they're shaking things up, and I have no idea how it'll play out. I guess I don't like uncertainty? Whatever, it's upset in a good TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON way, not a flouncing forever way.
I can't wait for the DVDs next month! I kind of have a vid idea I want to pursue. I also pre-read a great Sassy ficlet during my edit period, which furthered my excitement for next month. &SHOW;
-Finally, I guess my local AAA baseball team is going to the minor-league playoffs? YAY. Considering school teams in my area and my major league baseball teams are usually losers (Cubs, anyone?), I am...well, not excite because having teams I like nearly at some kind of championship stresses the heck out of me, but as positive as I can be? Whatever, go Aces!
Phew. Now I can focus on my second BBB! (It never ends.)
