A bit about my day.
1. Allegiance was really really good. Really really sad, obviously, but great. If I can find the time and process everything I've seen, I'd like to write up a post about it in the next few days. I feel like US internment during World War II isn't widely known, and the Japanese-American experience in particular. (George Takei was interned wrongfully imprisoned by the government when he was five. He didn't get out until he was nine. That's his childhood.)
2. I had a lovely outing in general. I went with my Friend T, who is great and as concert-loving as I am, so we ended up trading experiences. (She got to see Gym Class Heroes back when Travie was dating Katy Perry, so Katy Perry was there!) I also got a little time with Team Sister + Older Sister, who were out shopping while I saw the movie. Great bunch. And I got to see Friend T's kids, who are adorable and energetic. (Her youngest is a bit older than Dosling and her oldest a bit younger than Nibling.)
3. Pokemon GO news: the movie was downtown, so I got a bunch of Pokeballs, and I caught two Santa Pikachus! That means, even if I don't get any extras during the event, I can evolve one to Santa Raichu over time and still have a Santa Pikachu. Yay. (No Togepi hatchings yet, but I live in hope.)
