1. Went and voted today! I don't feel better about the election AT ALL, but at least I've switched my "what if I don't make it in time somehow even though I've voted every two years since I turned eighteen" anxiety to "what if I selected the wrong things on my ballot even though I carefully researched/marked my sample and triple checked my actual ballot" anxiety. Progress.
I also saw Inferno (the early voting spot was right next to the theater), and it wasn't a good movie, but I was imagining
David S. Pumpkins running around Italy, so I had a good time.
2. My week ahead is looking busy, so current plan for tomorrow: stay in bed (I'm nursing a cold), plot NaNo, and watch Star Trek. I need the relaxing time.
3. I'm not sure I mentioned this here, so a quick story from earlier this month:
I was at Disneyland and stuck in line for security. (They've always had bag checks when I've gone, but they recently added metal detectors, which slows things.) I was jittery about timing - I needed to walk a fair distance back to my hotel to change into my costume for Mickey's Halloween Party - so I was looking around the lines to see if there was a shorter one...
...and then I spotted Brendon Urie leaving the parks. Real, actual, only-remaining-member-of-Panic Brendon Urie, which I mention because people in costume were starting to arrive at that point. (And he was with Zack, so it was definitely him.)
Unsurprisingly, I had LA Devotee stuck in my head the rest of the trip.
