Decoy Bride is Out!
• Decoy Bride is out in the US! And here I was afraid it was going to sit on a shelf for years. Currently it's on On Demand and on iTunes for rental and I think the DVD is coming out shortly. And right this very moment I have a copy of it on my computer. \o/ I haven't sat down to watch it yet since I didn't get it until late last night but I flipped through it a bit and it seems full of Tennant cuteness so at least it has that going for it. And I've noticed that it's hard even for good independent movies to get distribution these days.
• Last night I watched a PILE of Stargate Universe episodes. A couple of days ago I saw Justice and Space so last night I watched Divided, Faith, Human, Lost, and Sabotage. (So I have four more episodes in season 1.) It's amazing how quickly the episodes go when you skip most of the scenes that don't include Robert Carlyle. *g* I have to admit that I'm still not loving anyone else on the show but he is as excellent as usual. It's as though he is on a different, better, more coherent show than anyone else and you can tell that he has thought about his character. I don't like the Colonel and I don't like the blonde woman and Eli is frequently annoying though at least he's a relatively interesting character. Out of all the episodes I've seen thus far, Human is definitely the best, but then it's a Nicholas Rush character study so what's not love? (And it was great seeing Daniel again.) I also enjoyed Sabotage and look forward to seeing Amanda again on the show.
Also, about SGU, for some reason episode 9 (Lost) is no longer available on streaming from netflix! It was when I watched it last month but now it is DVD only. WTF? Why have one episode missing? That's just weird. I will be seriously unhappy if they start doing that to shows I'm trying to stream.
• I'm thinking I need a couple more shows to watch. Any suggestions of something I can see without having to get Showtime or HBO? I don't know if I want anything to get all fannish about since I don't really have time for that but it would be good to have something else to dvr. (It's sad when your daughter has more space on the dvr than you do.) Does anyone watch Revenge? It looks like it could be interesting. I love a Count of Monte Cristo revenge type story but hulu only has the last 5 episodes and I don't want to be lost in the story. Also, I'm considering checking out The River, at least for a couple of episodes. Maybe Person of Interest? I like a good procedural. Rec me some shows!
