Day 27 - An Episode You Wish Hadn’t Been Made
Hmmm...there are episodes I REALLY DON'T LIKE but I don't know if I'd go so far as to wish them erased. After all, even episodes I don't like usually have something good going for them. So I'm going to pick a few scene/plot/storylines that I would like to be erased from their episodes.
- The conception of the alien in Love & Monsters. I know that it was from a contest but let's just toss out the contest as well! (Or have a different prize.) And completely get rid of the last scene! Ick. The whole episode turns my stomach with that scene anywhere near it.
- Old!Doctor in Last of the Time Lords. Now I do admit to being shallow and that I would have certainly appreciated Ten not being old and interacting with Simm!Master, but there is more to it than that. I just don't like thinking about the Doctor as the Master's dog. (I didn't even like typing that. *shudder*) So, that storyline goes!
- Donna's mindwipe. Or memory suppression I guess. I'm not saying she's better off dead since where there's life there's hope but it was a nasty way to write her out of the show. If she had to lose her memory, I would be much happier if she had actually lost it instead of being forced to always look away and never learn even as everyone else does. She hasn't just forgotten; she can never see!
There are a few other episodes that could have used another rewrite (Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks, The Hungry Earth/Cold Blood) but those three are my top choices to erase from the archives.
