Doctor Who Meme - Day 04 Part II - Your Favorite Doctor: Season 3 Picspam

Aug 22, 2010 17:42

As promised, here is season 3 of my Tenth Doctor picspam! One picture and one quote per episode all focused on Ten.

The Runaway Bride
Donna: Who are you?
The Doctor: I'm the Doctor. You?
Donna: Donna.
The Doctor: (looks her up and down) Human?
Donna: Yeah. Is that optional?
The Doctor: Well, it is for me.

Smith and Jones
The Doctor: Oh, this computer! The Judoon must have locked it down. Judoon platoon upon the moon. Cause I was just traveling past, I swear, I was just wandering, I wasn't looking for trouble, honestly, I wasn't, but I noticed these plasma coils around the hospital, and that lightning, that's plasma coils, been building up for two days now, so I checked in, I thought something was going on inside, it turns out the plasma coils were the Judoon up above.

The Shakespeare Code
Shakespeare: This is just a theatre.
The Doctor: Oh, but a theatre’s magic, isn’t it? You should know. Stand on this stage, say the right words with the right emphasis a the right time... Oh, you can make men weep, or cry with joy, change them. You can change people’s minds just with words in this place. And if you exaggerate that...

Gridlock
The Doctor: There was a war. A Time War. The last Great Time War. My people fought a race called the Daleks, for the sake of all creation. And they lost. They lost. Everyone lost. They're all gone now. My family, my friends, even that sky. Oh, you should have seen it, that old planet. The second sun would rise in the south, and the mountains would shine. The leaves on the trees were silver, and when they caught the light every morning, it looked like a forest on fire. When the autumn came, the breeze would blow through the branches like a song...

Daleks in Manhattan
The Doctor: No, no, no, no, no, no, no. They survived. They always survive while I lose everything.
Tallulah: That metal thing? What was it?
The Doctor: It’s called a Dalek. And it’s not just metal, it’s alive.
Tallulah: (laughs) You’re kidding me.
The Doctor: Does it look like I’m kidding? (he turns on her and she sobers) Inside that shell is a creature born to hate, whose only thought is to destroy everything and everyone that isn’t a Dalek too. It won’t stop until it’s killed every human being alive.

Evolution of the Daleks
Dalek: Planet Earth will become New Skaro.
The Doctor: Oh, and what a world. With anything just the slightest bit different ground into the dirt. That’s Dalek Sec. Don’t you remember? The cleverest Dalek ever and look what you’ve done to him. Is that your new empire? Hmm? Is that the foundation for a whole new civilization?

The Lazarus Experiment
The Doctor: I’m old enough to know that a longer life isn’t always a better one. In the end, you just get tired. Tired of the struggle. Tired of losing everyone that matters to you. Tried of watching everything turn to dust. (squats beside Lazarus) If you live long enough, Lazarus, the only certainty left is that you end up alone.
Lazarus: That’s a price worth paying.
The Doctor: Is it?

42
The Doctor: It’s your fault, Captain McDonnell! You mined that sun! Stripped its surface for cheap fuel! You should have scanned for life! That sun is alive! A living organism! They scooped out its heart, used it for fuel, and now it’s screaming!
Because it’s living in me. (really angry now) Humans! You grab whatever’s nearest and bleed it dry! (Screaming in agony and anguish) You should have scanned!

Human Nature
The Doctor: (stops and looks at her, serious) I have to stop being a Time Lord. I'm gonna become human. Never thought I'd use this. All the times I've wondered...
Martha: What does it do?
The Doctor: Chameleon Arch. Re-write my biology. Literally changes every single cell in my body. I've set it to human. Now, the TARDIS will take care of everything. Invent a life story for me, find me a setting and integrate me. Can't do the same for you...you'll just have to improvise. I should have just enough residual awareness to let you in.
Martha: But...hold on, if you're going to rewrite every single cell - isn't it going to hurt?
The Doctor: Oh yeah. It hurts.

The Family of Blood
John Smith: (voice breaking) I'm not - I'm John Smith. That's all I want to be. John Smith, with his life...and his job...and his love. Why can't I be John Smith? Isn't he a good man? Why can't I stay?
Martha: But we need the Doctor.
John Smith: So what am I then, nothing? I'm just a story.

Blink
The Doctor: Tracked you down with this. This is my timey-wimey detector. It goes ding when there's stuff. Also, it can boil an egg at 30 paces, whether you want it to or not, actually, so I've learned to stay away from hens. It's not pretty when they blow.

Utopia
The Doctor: And Utopia is…
Yana: Oh, every human knows of Utopia. Where have you been?
The Doctor: Bit of a hermit.
Yana: A hermit with friends?
The Doctor: Hermits United. We meet up every ten years. Swap stories about caves. It’s good fun…for a hermit. So, um, Utopia?

The Sound of Drums
Captain Jack: All the legends of Gallifrey made it sound so perfect.
The Doctor: (musing) Well, perfect to look at, maybe. And it was, it was beautiful. They used to call it the Shining World of the Seven Systems. And on the continent of Wild Endeavour, in the mountains of Solace and Solitude, there stood the Citadel of the Time Lords. The oldest and most mighty race in the universe. Looking down on the galaxies below, sworn never to interfere, only to watch. Children of Gallifrey were taken from their families at the age of eight, to enter the Academy. Some say that's where it all began, when he was a child. That's when the Master saw eternity. As a novice, he was taken for initiation. He stood in front of the Untempered Schism. It's a gap in the fabric of reality through which could be seen the whole of the vortex. We stand there, eight years old, staring at the raw power of Time and Space, just a child. Some would be inspired. Some would run away. And some would go mad. (beat) Oh, I dunno.
Martha: What about you?
The Doctor: Oh, the ones that ran away! I never stopped.

Last of the Time Lords
The Doctor: You've got to. Come on. It can't end like this. You and me, all the things we've done. Axons? Remember the Axons? And the Daleks? We're the only two left, there's no one else. Regenerate!
The Master: How about that? I win. (pause) Will it stop, Doctor? The drumming. Will it stop? (dies)
