Jay's Birthday
While tonight is indeed Hamlet night (it has just started to tape!), it is also my husband's birthday! Hence the plans I have for the evening meaning I'll watch Hamlet tomorrow. *g* Jay has voted for either Iron Man or Star Trek to watch tonight. I'm rooting for Iron Man myself since we've seen Star Trek several times since Christmas. And Iron Man has Robert Downey Jr. for me to enjoy as well. I have my priorities.
It being a special occasion, I'm doing what I usually do - cooking. I made an apple pie and double vanilla ice cream this afternoon. (With Chicklet's help. She loves making pie with me.) We already had some since we needed to have pie with Chicklet before she went to bed. The ice cream was especially good! And then for dinner we're having:
Filet Mignon with Bearnaise Sauce and Lobster
Basil Scented Potato Cakes
and Steamed Broccoli
all with a Rockpile Zinfandel from Mauritson Winery (one of the wines we brought back from Sonoma)
Now I'm off to make dinner. We have a fire going since it's damn cold here! And we just finished watching Singing in the Rain with Chicklet. A very good evening I think. :D
