Update on homeless chloe!
SO I'm getting two stories
ausage who also lives in my building called me earlier. The city is forcing the owner of the falling-down building to demolish it within two weeks. This is good. Except that we can't be in our apartments for that time!
Story number two is that one of the other tenants went down to City Hall this morning, and the city is putting up some sort of brace or scaffolding to hold the other building up. This would take 24 hours (apparently) and then we could go back. Nice plan, but I think our buildings are too close together to do it... but I'm no engineer.
I got in to get some more clothes and my pillow while the cops weren't looking. Yay.
One of the tenants is looking to file a class action lawsuit or something. We'll see...
