Can I take your picture?
Over the course of the weekend, I hope to take a few rolls worth of pictures of my friends, to practise my photography skills. I used to be really good (heck, I even went to film school!) but since moving to Toronto I seem to have lost my motivation (not to mention I can’t find any of my portfolio pieces!)
My focus will be on glamour portrait-type photos this time around, basically for me just to practise with my camera and directing models.
Please help! Ever wanted a few nice pictures of yourself to share with family and friends (or random strangers on the internet?) Capture your youth on film before its lost! I’m open to suggestions for locations, so I can come to you, you can come to me, or we can meet up somewhere in between, like the Distillery, Chinatown, the waterfront, behind an old warehouse... anywhere!
I’ll provide you with either copies of all the pictures I take of you, or enlargements of the ones I think are really nice.
I’m going to be working in black and white, on film (not digital), very artistic and experimental-type photos. Clothed, and you can wear what you want (tho it might be helpful to have a few different options, and solid/stark colours work best, since they’re going to turn out b&w).
At a later date, I plan to do some fetish/scene/fantasy/historical recreation/etc photography as well, so let me know if you’re interested in that too.
(Special pleas go out to myintimia, sklvain, not_matt, _myown_, thefabulist, citizenfemme, sonjaaa, dynta, favouritehate because you each have very unique “looks”, but I totally welcome EVERYONE!!!)
