ALL THE TIME!
omg.
So, I've started a new project in litigation at work, because we have a trial coming up. Now, litigation is a really hard area to get into at my firm, and usually you need to have all this experience and stuff before they'll let you. Now, I must have either really wowed them, or they're desperate, because I got assigned to the trial!
It means more responsibility. I'm basically taking the role of a law clerk, and I'll be making regular trips to the courthouse, which is super cool. They might even have me sit in on the trial some days to take notes!
It also means that you probably won't be seeing/hearing from me much! Today for example, I started work at 8:30am, and finished at 9:30pm. Tomorrow, I have to go back in!
Depending on the need for late-hours, they'll be temporarily changing my schedule as well, and will have me working 12-8 (or whenever I'm done really), so at least I'll get decent sleep.
All in all, I'm really excited, and its going to look really good to the firm that I'm flexible and committed. Oh, and I've learned so many new words!
Woohoo overtime pay.
