Lois had left for Smallville to grab some things so she could stay in the Watchtower until this was over. Chloe knew Lois was worried about her and to be honest, she would feel better to know Lois was around and not staying by herself in the apartment where Lex could find her so easily

"Long time, no see," he whispered, laying down behind her and winding his arm around her waist. He pressed a kiss to her cheek.

Chloe smiled softly, keeping her eyes closed as she wrapped her arm over his, her fingers sliding through his as she squeezed his hand, "way too long," she whispered.

"I've missed you," he murmured, shifting closer to her and squeezing her hand in return.

"I missed you too," she told him after a moment, letting go of his hand and turning around to face him, wrapping her arm tightly around him, "I knew you wouldn't leave me."

"You can't, you promised," she sobbed, her eyes hot with tears, but closing again, "you said you wouldn't leave," she pressed her palm against the wound.

"Chloe, listen to me," he whispered, shifting closer to her and pressing his lips near her ear. "Listen. Things aren't always what they seem. Don't give up. Please, Chloe."

"I need you," she sobbed, shaking her head, keeping her eyes closed tightly, "you can't be gone, you can't leave me, I don't know what to do and Mia needs you."
