Chloe did try to go to bed, for all of five minutes, before she gave up. She was a little restless, even though she liked Star City a lot and was glad to be there with Mia and Ollie, knowing that she had to meet with Zod soon and find out more about their project was making her anxious to go back

He glanced up from the journal that was in his hands, then at the clock. It wasn't quite Midnight yet. He put the book aside and rose to his feet, moving to open the door, a small smile touching his lips when he spotted Chloe. "Hey."

Chloe couldn't help but smile softly when she saw the smile on his face, as small as it was, it was much more relaxed than it had been in a while.

"My turn?" She teased quietly. He had come knocking on her door just the previous night.

He ducked his head a little, smile widening a bit as he stepped to the side. "Come on in."

She did, looking around the room as she stepped inside, she had seen his room before, but she hadn't really paid attention to it, the Clock Tower room had been more comfortable than this and she felt like the Watchtower room, as small as it was, was much cozier.

"I guess I don't have to ask what you were doing?" She asked with a smile. The journal had not left his side since they found it.

"Actually, if you wouldn't mind staying, I'd like the company," he said quietly, searching her face.

Relaxing slightly, she smiled up at him and nodded, unconsciously stepping closer, "company is good."

Oliver smiled back faintly, sliding his arms around her and pulling her close for a hug.

She returned the hug immediately, stepping closer and after a long moment, she turned her head up and pressed a kiss to his cheek.

He dropped his hand to her cheek, then opened his eyes once more to look at her, searching her eyes silently.

Holding his gaze, she smiled softly, brushing her fingers over the back of his neck.

He relaxed at her soft smile and gently kissed her forehead. "You're okay with this?"

"I'm very okay with this," she told him softly, tightening her hold on him, "are you?"

He kissed her softly. "We can wait. I just want you to know this is a lot more to me than just some casual passing thing," he murmured.

"It means a lot more to me too," she agreed, smiling, "you mean a lot to me," she thought he should know, "but we can take this slow and figure it out as go, just to make sure we don't mess things up." She said with a smile.

"Good. Because that's the last thing I want," he said softly, his eyes filled with warmth.

Nodding, she leaned closer and pressed a soft kiss to his lips. They lives were far from normal so she didn't expect things between them to be normal either, but they needed each other and this kind of felt like a natural progress, she didn't feel nervous about it, in fact, she was calmer now than when she walked into the room.

He smiled faintly. "If you and Mia are the company? Always." His voice was quiet.

Chloe smiled a little more and nodded, "I think she's doing better, don't you?"

Oliver considered that for a moment. "I think so." He fell silent, looking uncertain.

She shook her head a little, "you're helping her a lot, Ollie, stop kicking yourself," she smiled softly, "the bow thing, it really meant a lot to her."
