It's not often that I recommend an author rather than a specific story. But, with some authors, I love almost everything they've written, and what I don't love, receives less affection not because it isn't well written, but because it's not to my personal taste.
Today, I'd like to rec Auburn. Auburn is the author of my favorite SGA story ever,
In the City of Seven Walls. Seven Walls is a gorgeous, epic length story that is just amazing for so very many reasons -- rich descriptions, intricate plot and excellent characterizations, just for starters. This story had me hooked for months while it was being written, and it is now complete and available for your reading pleasure. (Don't forget to read the companion stories after you're done with the main work.)
While you're exploring her large body of work, don't forget to check out
Judas Doesn't Answer, a murder mystery that will keep you guessing, and have you repeatedly convinced you know who the killer is, only to toss you and your assumptions out the window in the next paragraph. I recommend this for the same reason I recommend Seven Walls, the same quality you'll see in all of her work.

InsaneJournal .
Auburn uses InsaneJournal more than LiveJournal these days, so more recent posts can be found there.
On a more personal note: I've been trying to get through two exercise classes in a row for weeks now, and I accomplished that tonight: 1 hour of kickboxing, and 1 hour of powerflex (weightlifting, low weights, high reps.) I managed to finish it, but now I'm going to go die quietly in a corner. ::Chloe waves weakly, and gestures towards Auburn's stories:: Go, read. Shoo. Shoo.
