“Wesley! You didn’t wind the clock? It’s already New Year and we missed it!”
“Willow, love...”
“Yeah?” There was a definite pout on his wife’s face. They’d received the clock as a wedding present fifteen years ago and in spite of all their computers, cell phones and every other technological gizmo with a clock, Willow, insisted that it wasn’t the new year unless that clock struck twelve.
“We can have New Year’s again... once I’ve finished with this.” Wesley proceeded to give his wife a thorough New Year’s kiss before leaving her touching her lips to go wind the clock.
