We are home. Seminar was awesome
Seminar was So amazing, and we had such a great time in Dallas. I had not been to Seminar as a director before (last year I was in the hospital with Micah) so I had a really amazing time. Rena Tarbet did one of the trainings for the directors and I was so glad I got to attend it. (Dayam, if she can keep going, what do I have to complain about? If you don't know her story, the short of it is she has been battling cancer for the last 20 years!) She talked about the personal touch when working with consultants, and I completely love the ideas that she gave us.
I sat next to a lovely and pregnant woman named Renee, from Kansas. She and I have agreed to both be on stage next year at Awards Night. Because as fabulous as Awards Night is, it's MUCH better when you're part of it and not just watching it.
I also earned a party and did not even know it until I got there! They had makeup artists there doing lip makeovers for everyone so I got a fabulous lip makeover. Of course, the makeup artist Loved my lips the way they were. yay!
So my new colors that she gave me were Plum lip liner, Appleberry lipstick, and Sugarberry lip gloss.
Adam posted mostly about his and Micah's days. Mine were filled with education, inspiration, girlfriends, new ideas, and of course some silliness. And the best thing is that I am doing a skin care class TOMORROW so I'm all ready to get ready with my month! woohoo!
Our next event is Jeanne Curtis's Summit in October. Usually as a director you have to have a team member earn a trip to her party in order to go to the big party, but THIS year directors can earn it themselves and I FULLY INTEND TO. No more missing parties for me!
Anyway, Adam is at band practice and I need to get some stuff done before bed. Glad to be home. Glad to have a sleeping baby. Excited for August!
