Biore Pore Strips

I love pore strips. Minimal effort, maximal output. There's nothing quite like whacking on a Biore pore strip, humming while you wait for it dry and to work its magic.

10-15 minutes later, when the strip has hardened into an ice-magic like shell on your nose, it's the moment of truth you've been waiting for - deforestation of your nose and nearby surrounds. It's so satisfying to peel off that bit of paper and delight of delights, gasp and inspect the catch of the day. Delicious horror, was that really on my nose this whole time? Could other people see all this crud?! Yuk! All that gunk ripped out of the pores, and tiny hairs gone too. I must be a hairy-nosed wombat.

Method:
hot water
washcloth
Biore pore strip (I haven't had much luck with other brands)

Wet washcloth in water as hot as you can stand and press it to your face. This steams open pores making it easier for them to give up the ghost. Rinse your washcloth and repeat. Now wet your nose and carefully apply the pore strip. Wait til hardened (usually 10-15minutes), you can speed this process up by blasting a hairdryer on cool setting at your nose. Don't do anything that will make you sweat. If you break a sweat, it's the kiss of death for the pore strip. Sit tight, read a book, an rss feed, something quiet :)

Once it's ready, start by peeling off one corner slowly until the whole strip is off. Inspect. Wash your face and rinse off any residue from the strip. Rinse again with cold water to close the pores.

Alternatively:
1 tablespoon gelatin
1 tablespoon milk

Mix these 2 ingredients in a microwave safe bowl. You may need to add extra milk as the mixture is quite dry. Microwave on high for 10 minutes. Apply to skin (wherever there are blackheads - avoiding eyes and eyebrows) with a brush. Rinse the brush immediately. Let it dry, then peel and inspect.
