i am suburban
i hadn't gone to church for some time so i went today because it's easter and it's the one time i get to hear gory details about crucifixion, until the next year of course. it wasn't surprising to find that few things had changed, like how after service the teenagers loiter in the lobby and check out each other's cell phones and be azn. cherie can drive and this is everything in the suburbs. we drive to get flowers for the baptisms. we drive to cvs to get those bunny peeps marshmellow things. we return to find that sunday school has yet to end and we have time to kill. somehow the brilliant idea to roast those bunny marshmellow things comes up and we take the lighter and a candle from the church kitchen to go outside and roast our bunny marshmellow things. but the lighter doesn't work and we are slightly disappointed until we decide to buy a lighter from the local deli! except the one we buy doesn't work either! cherie and i can't figure out how to use the lighter and we go "blast these companies, why aren't there directions?!" but it turns out it's defective and we finally get one that works and we light the candle and roast those motherfucking bunnies. we are sadists because we melt the faces first. not really. we are suburban because we get bored out of our minds.
