i think grad school is trying to kill me. i mean really. damn. day 2.
don't email me friday before a tuesday class with a book list i have to order on amazon because your lazy ass didn't sumbit it to the bookstore on time. then don't assign 9 fucking chapters out of those books WE CAN'T FUCKING GET AND DON'T HAVE to read by tuesday. OMFG!
oh and then i got an email to pick up photocopies of those 9 chapters between 330 and 5 on monday. I have a fucking class from 4 to 7 and the copies weren't there by 350. fuck that. now i have to read those chapters plus 5 more and write a paper on my philosophy of teaching by thursday. wtf.
so that's two classes smashed together into a mega-class on tues/thurs from 8am - 3pm. argh
in other news, i really like my geometry class on MWF. too bad i don't have time to read for that one cause the book looks really interesting.
i also like my MW exceptional childeren class. the prof is awesome and really interesting.
it's kinda neat to notice how much different i am as a student this time around. in hs and undergrad, it was nearly fucking impossible to get me to speak in class, and so far i've volunteered in all of my classes. i'm really into this and i hope that feeling lasts.
ok, and tonight's the first night i had to give up going out in order to study. yep. bunch of people are at msr at a concert and i'm here. reading. somehow i really don't mind so much. like i said, i'm really into this and i hope it lasts.
now i'm off to read my geometry book. it's written in first person. the intro says "This book presents the discovery of non-Euclidean geometry and the subsequent reformulation of Euclidean geometry as a suspense story." well, it sounds like fun so far . . . . the course (and book) is supposed to bring the historical aspect of geometry into play and that's something i'm really looking forward to . . . *geek*
