I wish I could say I was surprised by this ...

Dear Moronic Ex Room Mate,

No, you may not bring a concealed firearm into the grove. I don't care how many permits to carry you may have. There is absolutely no reason for you to be parading around grove events with a gun on your hip. Unless of course you just want people to know what a big fucking man you are, what a mighty and powerful arm chair warrior you are. And, all things considered, I'm far from convinced that isn't actually the whole point of this.

Don't whip out crime statistics like you never lived here in the city. Yeah, there are a lot of murders in Baltimore, but let's be realistic about those numbers, shall we? Most of those are going to be domestic violence and gangs killing each other off, you know that and I know that; only a very small percentage of that is stranger homicide. You were here how many years, unarmed, and yet somehow you managed to make it out alive, now all of a sudden you need a gun to come into the city? And to the grove no less, which is hardly in a dangerous ghetto, its in a quiet residential area and nothing happens there.

Although really, if you just needed it for protection, you could just as easily leave it in the car, right? But no, you're asking if you can carrying it around with you. So again, are you sure this isn't all about you posturing?

And of course, as usual I see you can't just take a quiet no as an answer, got to flounce, got to show us all how wrong we are. "What, are we going to wait until someone actually gets hurt before we start carrying. Do you guys also suggest closing the barn doors after the horses get out?" Oh, shut the fuck up. Thirteen years with no incidents is a pretty good history and no reason to suddenly start worrying about having to walk over a pile of shot up corpses just to get in the front door. And even if something were to happen, to be perfectly honest, you would be one of the last people on earth I would want holding the gun to protect us all. For a whole long list of reasons.

Here's a novel idea. If you don't feel safe traveling through the city, coming to the grove unless you're carrying a gun, how about you just not come anymore? And I don't just say this because I truly and deeply despise you and want you to disappear from my world space. This seems very common sense to me. If you don't feel safe unarmed, then why go if you don't have to? Why drag your kids through such a dangerous place if you don't have to? You don't even live in this state anymore, find something in PA (assuming the group that kicked you out for trying to take it over didn't spread the tale far and wide and ruin your chances with any other local group before you had a chance to do that yourself) where you might feel safer? oh no, wait, you'll be carrying a gun all the time there too, yeah I'm sure this has nothing whatsoever to do with you trying to feel like a big man

*headdesk*

Gods, this guy makes my brain bleed. How the hell did I put up with him for even six months?
